Black Bear Diner Suisun City

This place is consistently good service is quick and friendly and I always have a beverage cup filled even without asking. Got my son and grandson hooked on the country fried steak meals

The food was so great and the environment was very welcoming. I was with a table of 8 people and our Server was Joe and he was so amazing. He was very attentive and understanding overall and I would ask for him again 10/10!! The garlic toast lacked flavor but I still enjoyed it and everything else was nice. Even if something was messed up they were quick to fix it with pleasure! The general manager stopped by and was very friendly so I will definitely be returning. Much better than the brother diner in Vacaville but Suisun City’s does not take a military discount. I’d still highly recommend!

A good place but they could improve the service, they are not very attentive and the menu is very, very boring. If you want to know about their food dishes you have to search on Google.

Parking: You won't have a parking problem.

Kid-friendliness: It is a formal and familiar place but it is not an area for children to play.

Wheelchair accessibility: You won't have a problem if you are in a wheelchair or if you have a family member or friend.

This is a below average location. The food was the same consist quality expected at a Black Bear Diner. The service was also pretty good, but the facility itself is run down and small.

Service was fine no issues there. But there were several other key issues. First is that there was no a/c running or at least it was very low on one of the hottest days. Luckily when we went it was tolerable to us.

For atmosphere, It was run down/dingy looking. The highchair we had gotten for our child was very dirty. The bathrooms were not very clean/updated.
It also smelled slightly stale.

For the food, it wasn't the worst. However far from the standard we are used to for this chain.
The sausage gravy needed more seasoning. It was also room temp. The green beans were definitely canned, and we had gotten a piece of the tough stem included in one of the dishes.

We got our other child sprinkle pancakes. Normally they would be mixed into the batter and distributed evenly through out. I'm not sure how hot it was in the kitchen but it must have been miserable and little effort was given in the pancakes. Literally just a pile of sprinkles poured into the center.

All in all not bad, but it seems more needs to be done about working conditions so that more effort/time can be taken with the food

Food and service were great. We had breakfast. the manager came over and chatted with us. He was professional and kind. You can tell he cares about his restaurant.
