Jalapeno cheddar sausage was great. Brisket needed more flavor and was on the dry side.
Excelent food and service,

Good sweet potato fries. Really large eating area. Briskets plate will run you $25+.
As a Texas native, I was reluctant to try any barbecue that boasts of tasting like TX. However, longing for that flavor, I've tried a few others since living here for 9 years. I recently gave them a try, with fingers crossed. The moment I stepped into this place I instantly knew they backed up their claim, without having tasted anything! The aroma hit me hard & I was transported back to my favorite restaurant in TX! I tried the brisket, again reluctant, because not many can master a tender brisket! It was unbelievably delicious, super tender, fatty & a little black just the way I love it! ? The chicken is good, as well as the potato salad... great really? The only thing missing for me is baked beans... it's a Southern thing that goes with BBQ like peanut butter & jelly. I can't wait to try everything on the menu! My new favorite restaurant! Sorry I didn't add photos of the juicy brisket... it wasn't on my plate long enough for a photo opp. If 10 stars were possible, this would be it ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I gave it 4 stars because the meal should include a slice of garlic bread as part of the meal. Also, it's self service so I can't really rate the service. Also, I cannot pick recommendations on the meat because I always order pulled pork and it's not on the list.

Brisket was dry and overcooked, pinto beans were ok. Portions were not worth $20. Iced tea and service were good.

Brisket
- Cooked properly, very tender
- Good bark, about as dark as it gets
- Decent flavor, somewhat masked by char flavor however. Overall 7/10
Sides
- Mac n cheese was above average. 7/10
- Potato salad had good flavor and variety of ingredients. Some chunks of potato were cut large but overall better than average. 8/10
Service
- Very fast & friendly. 10/10
- Beer poured foamy so the keg was switched quickly and glass was topped off within a couple minutes
- Ordered through the website and they were happy to change it from to-go to a tray
- Brisket was ordered as "juicy" but served as chopped. I asked to have slices instead and they accommodated me quickly
Restaurant
- Large amount of space and seating
- Padded seats for increased comfort
- Decent amount of booths
- 3 TVs with sports on
- Good cleanliness
Prices were about expected for the location and food. Overall a good experience, will likely return.

I'll preface this by saying i grew up in between kansas city and st louis so my standards for BBQ are pretty high.
Pros: Service was fantastic. Super friendly staff, very little wait time, restaurant was clean and although the tables were cramped together it wasn't a bad place if i had time to stay and eat.
The food was unfortunately just ok. The only thing that was outright bad was the "Bacon white cheddar mac n cheese" which was a congealed block of mac n cheese with some bacon set on top.
The ribs were decent, a little tough but the flavor was good. I also got a side of pinto beans which I don't really care for but I like to try new foods just in case. The beans were fine.
I got an addition of a jalapeno and cheese sausage and it was quite dry but again not bad just ok.
I did LOVE the sauce though. 10/10 on the sauce.
My biggest issue is that i got a half rack of ribs and a sausage and it was $50. Wayyyyy more money than I'm comfortable spending for a single meal for a single person.
Overall its not a bad restaurant but you could do better for less money elsewhere.

It must have been opposite day at this location. I decided to have some AW as I had not had any since moving out of the area nearly 8 years ago. I ordered the ribs plus one and asked for my brisket juicy. My sides included a cornbread muffin and a ceaser salad. Everything except the salad was dry. Like beef jerky dry. I was fearful that I would choke on it, or stab my cheek with shards of meat. Needless to say, I will not be going back anytime soon. $40 for a meal that was practically inedible is not worth trying a second time. I brought the leftovers home thinking maybe I can use it to flavor soup? I'll continue to go to my mom and pop just off of Moffett Blvd.
