Food tastes just like homemade food. Their Alu paratha, Poori bhaji are simply awesome..Have tried thali as well (#2).. worth a try..
Overall, the place is very clean, staff is very courteous and service is fast. All without breaking your wallet..
I've visited this place 8 years ago and was surprised to see similar faces, and even the food tastes the same..
Definitely coming back again.

Love this place! The food at Chaat House is always fresh, flavorful, and hits the spot every time. The pani puri and samosas are my favorites — super tasty and perfectly spiced. The staff are friendly and service is quick even when it’s busy. Great spot to grab something delicious with friends or family. Definitely coming back again!

Ranjeet and Kamal have catered 2 lunch parties at our place in Los Altos and we have decided to have them back for the third party . They delighted our guest with their lipsmacking chaat and cholle bhature. It was an absolute pleasure setting the menu with them and having them take care of our guests. It is such a treat to have someone make fresh samosa and bhatura on site. I highly recommend their services.

This little spot on El Camino is simple, clean, and definitely worth a visit if you are craving food that tastes like home. Nothing about it feels overly fancy or pretentious, and that’s exactly what makes the experience so comforting. The food has that unmistakable home-cooked quality—light, fresh, and easy on the palate—something that is becoming harder to find in restaurants these days.
We ordered the malai kofta and dal makhni, both served with soft chapatis (roti) and a glass of chaas on the side. The malai kofta had a creamy, delicate flavor without being heavy, while the dal makhni was rich yet subtle, a balance that made it enjoyable without overwhelming spices. The chapatis were warm and perfectly soft, adding to that homemade touch. The chaas rounded off the meal beautifully, refreshing and soothing after the flavorful dishes.
Overall, the food was satisfying and left us with no complaints. If your idea of a good meal is something close to what you would enjoy at home, this place definitely delivers on that promise.
That said, one area I feel could be improved is the dining experience itself. While the food is excellent, serving it in plastic plates takes away from the overall enjoyment. Personally, I believe introducing proper cutlery and dishes would enhance the comfort and presentation, making it more inviting for dine-in guests.
Still, for the quality and taste of the food alone, this place is an absolute recommendation.

Go to spot for Indian food for all these years.
Takeaway of harabhara chapati, kadai paneer and dal makhani was very bad.they did not wash the dal or the condiments. It had so much mud or dirty dust of dal. Oh had to throw. Ordered 2 boxes. Waste of food and very embarassing. Kadai paneer in that brinjal was not cooked. How can you cook dal without washing. Highly sub standard quality used. Please look into it and reply chaat house. I wonder how people eat your food whuch contains mud

This is my goto place. Their thali is the best, with salad, buttermilk, butter roti, rice, daal, curry and a desert. The food is very decent and close to indian taste.

Sanity Issue!!!! Quality issue!!!! Finger nail in food!!!!! Gross!!!!
I am so grossed out, I ordered Thali #2 and I found out finger nail, had to pulled it out of my mouth and am never going here again. Customer service is good only, people have been accomodating, But see the disgusting things pop out in food is hard to accept. But someone who doesn’t even chew on their own nail to be chewing on someone’s nail from food, Grossed me out. Never going back again.
I don’t know this place so high rated
We ordered thali and sarso saag for lunch
Both of them are below average
I regret our decision of coming here, specially when so many good restaurants are near by
Food tastes like home - last two times I went here, they also gave me extra food and called me son - right in the feels!

My family and I often go to Chaat House for lunch/ dinner. The food tastes like homemade food. We loved their paneer paratha, chole Bhatura, paneer pakora and lassi. The ambiance is light and inviting but not too fancy. The staff is friendly and attentive. It is a good value for money restaurant.
