I recently tried the ghar ki thali from Chatpata India and overall had a pleasant experience. The presentation was homey and inviting — the dal makhni came in a generous portion, beautifully creamy and rich. The spice level was just right: mildly indulgent without being overwhelming. Rajan bhai(owner) gave us complimentary masala chai and it was very flavorful. I believe it’s the best you can get in the bay area.
