Grew up in Los Altos and visited Country Gourmet regularly. Always one of my favorite places to eat. Today made so many memories of great food come true again!

The food tastes fresh and consistent here. Good service and clean tables. No long wait times. The only reason this isn't a 5 star place is because their menu is too small.

Country Gourmet is exactly as it sounds a southern style restaurant in the middle of Silicon Valley. They offer an amazing cornbread gluten free Benedict that was to die for and they have plenty of options. Their restaurant operates a bit differently you wait in line pay and then find your table and put out your number. The food comes right to you and staff are super friendly.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegetarian optionsParking: Plenty of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp for easy access to the building

HOLY COW was Country Gourmet delicious. I got the chocolate chip pancakes with a side of bacon and oh lord was it good! First of all the vibe was like no other restaurant it took me back a couple years as I had to pay with cash:)! The food was amazing the chocolate chip pancakes were so fluffy and you couldn't even tell they were whole wheat. They did not skimp on the chocolate chips which was great and that creamy butter on top was just what I needed. The bacon was also amazing! It was crispy and salty and was the perfect contrast to the fluffy sweet pancakes. The portions were also massive which I love! The only flaw was that it is a bit more expensive than other dinners, but the food reflects it! OVERALL definitely reccomend to others and wild come again!

Went for lunch and made a mistake going at noon as it was packed and noisy, but we did get a table. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Sat inside today as it was raining. You order at the counter, and then your order will be delivered to your table. Service was good, we've always liked the food and you get a lot. Today, we had an omelet and almond chicken salad.

It's for older people. It's not for me. The lunch is literally either chicken enchiladas with no beans or rice, or a hamburger. I got the enchiladas. It's lean breast meat nothing about my plate said I'm comfort food I'm screamin delicious. Again. It's for the elderly.
What a gem of a place. Really good food with many options, laid-back atmosphere, and friendly staff. I had the eggs benedict with the coffee cake and it was just great - couldn't be any better.I've also come to know how the owner interacts with the staff and she's a great example for others to follow. I want to support local places like this!Parking: Lots of parking near the entrance but also in the adjacent lot.

Maybe the founders of Panera went to Country Gourmet, saw a good thing and copied it!? Order at the counter & they bring you your food. Excellent bakery items. Good, solid cafe food. This is the way a good American Cafe should be! Find out for yourself:)
