Everything over priced! Old fashioned. Food is ok.
My favorite store for desi groceries. All workers and the owner are very nice and provide an exceptional customer service.
The owners were very helpful and friendly.
Fish, Mutton
Well we went here last night and my husband spent about 60 plus and bought Rashmalai and we came home that the rashmalai container was broken and all the plastic was in the rashmalai we couldnt even eat it we have to throw it out. I told my husband to call them he said no so I’m doing reviews for you , I noticed that some of their items and far more expensive than other stores and they have a lot of expired curry mix pack . I don’t think so this place is worth coming as they are not checking what they are selling and they don’t care either it’s expired or not either it’s good or not. And yes I don’t recommend this place unless you only buy food here which is supper oily they cook their chicken oil in the chicken get it ? Meaning their food the oil is like a river you can swim and die from heart attack not healthy food . I’m sorry but it’s the truth
Overpriced everything.
Food is stale and bad taste. Had upset stomach multiple times.
My Bangla Bazar is a hidden gem for Desi groceries and Halal meat. It's my go-to place for Indian ethnic food and essentials. This market, located on S Wolfe Road in Sunnyvale, is a culinary haven for Southeast Asian flavors. It offers a treasure trove of ingredients, from everyday staples to seasonal delicacies like dates and exotic spices. The Halal meat section is renowned for its quality, while the array of Indian grocery items delights home cooks and food enthusiasts alike. Conveniently located and offering a wide selection, My Bangla Bazar is the ultimate destination for authentic tastes from the East. Their Bangladeshi frozen fish section is also a standout feature.
I'm not Indian but I've visited most of the Indian grocery stores in the area and this place was by far the most sad. Just a few wilted items in the produce section but a huge selection of whole frozen fish not even sealed. Who knows how long they've been in there. Surprised to see a butcher and meat department. The deli section had some pre fried samosas and I regretfully bought 2 duck liver chicken ones for $5 each. It was bland, cold, oily and barely tasted of any chicken.
The quality of the curry is not good. Feels like they provide older curries and the smell is not good
No price tags Everything prices highFrom other store places tags price all items confused for customers
Restaurantji Recommends
Everything overpriced, unhygienic .I bought paneer that was expired 5 months ago.i returned that other day .strongly not recommended
I bought here fish and it was good but that day shop has bad smell. Later few days I went again to buy chicken, This time shop has no smell but Chicken was not good.
Love the store. Probably the only place in the Bay area that has quality Hilsa from Bangladedh.. Mutton is pretty great too.
This review is for their goat biryani, nothing else. I am sure their grocery store and other food are quite good.I don't think I have ever eaten a goat biriyani worse than what we bought from deshi bazaar. It was so so oily, if I would have thrown it away if I weren't super hungry. The biryani had no redeeming quality - the meat was very chewy, rice didn't feel like the usual biryani rice.
Best place get fresh fish, chicken and mutton. Lots bengali sweet options are available. Love the place and people are also very helpful.
