The tacos are very tasty and delicious, meat is prime class, and salsas both red and green just delicious. Tortillas are made from real corn.

Fantastic food and service. I got 5 tacos for dinner (1 of each) and it didn’t disappoint. The flavor and quality were very good and the hot salsa was made fresh. Would surely recommend and revisit.

Telling a customer there is only super burrito and not regular is a forced supersize to pay more. So basically they don’t deal with simple standards that most taquerias and taco trucks do to be able to order a regular OR a super burrito, let alone custom. At $15 for a burrito, is price gouging. Now with forced upgrades is an insult. Not going back here.Dietary restrictions: Forced super burrito ingredients.

I was in the area for work and stopped by for a quick lunch before heading back to SJ. There wasn't a line and my order came out very quickly. And there's plenty of picnic tables to eat on. El Califas is pretty good but somewhat on the pricey side. They also charge ~$1 if you use card. That said, they are pretty generous with their meat portions. My favorite was the barbacoa -- wasn't overly salty, just right.

The chicharron tacos El Califa style (melted cheese between tortillas) is my go-to here. The flavor of the chicharron is so good, and the addition of the cheese helps balance it out. I do wish they gave some salsa on the side or had other salsa options, but the one on the tacos is still good. I don't love their carne asada or al pastor. I just find them to be a little more bland and not my favorite. I come here for the chicharron, and eat it fresh at their outdoor seating area so the cheese is still warm and melty. They really tried to make an ambiance even though it's parked behind/beside a gas station. The turf and benches don't feel like they're in the way of the parking lot. Their hours are not ideal as they overlap with common working hours. When I can sneak out for lunch or swing by right after work, this is the spot for some chicharron tacos.

Super yummy affordable tacos located at the intersection of Mathilda and Maude. They have a few parking spots and picnic tables near the food truck as well so definitely convenient to visit. The chef here was super kind and sweet. We ordered the veggie tacos, chicharrones and asada with horchata. They use two tacos with melted cheese in the middle and then add toppings on top. Everything was super yum, highly recommend.

I work in the area so my coworkers and I come to this food truck from time to time, seemingly always on Tuesdays . The menu is pretty simple, decide how many tacos you want (probably 3) and which meats (or non-meat) you want. They have asada, al pastor, veggie, chicharrones, barbacoa and pollo. They also ask if you want cheese, which is this special "califa" style with the cheese melted between the two tortillas, as opposed to on top of the meat. I went with the asada, barbacoa and al pastor. TBH, I don't really even remember which one I liked the most. They were all good! It is a bit messy to eat though so I'd suggest preparing some napkins and maybe a fork to scoop up all the extras that fall off the tortilla.

El Califas Tacos is located behind the alliance gas station on Mathilda. Parking is very limited hereEl Califas Tacos is a taco truck that has pretty good tacos for the area. The “El Califas” tacos are cooked with a layer of melted cheese in the middle which is pretty unique to them. They have lots of meat choices as wellThe horchata was a also pretty good which comes in a bottle and makes it easier to shake/mix and drink.Plenty of tables outside for you to sit and eat it fresh but parking is limitedWould highly recommend checking it out and ask for extra salsa!
