This is probably my favorite breakfast/brunch place ever! The pancakes taste like delicious clouds, the toppings are amazing, and the overall aesthetic of the place is just adorable. I haven't yet tried every single flavor they have, but so far my favorite is the matcha.
I have some thoughts about the common criticisms of this place:
1.) You have to wait at least 20 minutes for your order: Yes, this is true. However, soufflé pancakes are not able to be made ahead of time- they would deflate. If you need something to do while you wait, you can try their delicious teas. I recommend the lychee one.
2.) It's expensive: To that I say, have you ever tried making Japanese soufflé pancakes yourself? Because I have, and it was a nightmare. I'm a pretty competent home cook, but it took me multiple tries before I was able to produce something palatable, but nowhere near as good as what this place can do. And one batch (2 servings) took 1.5 hours to make- 1.5 stressful hours, I should add. Think about how you value your time- and sanity. In my opinion, the money is well spent!
In short, this is one of the few places that serves a unique, difficult to make delicacy. It is well worth the investment.
Pro tip: call them before you drive over, to make sure they're open. They're randomly closed sometimes (even when they're supposed to be open.)
2 stars for presentation. However, the food is bad. I was really looking forward to trying it out. However, the pancakes have a bad raw egg flavour, and they feel undercooked. Also, had to wait almost 30 mins for my order. For the price they are charging, I expected a lot. Highly disappointed, wouldn't recommend it. You can get way better pancakes elsewhere.
I got the Strawberry Shortcake cup! It took a little less than 10 min as they made it quickly. For this specific item, they said the pancakes are freshly made everyday and then stored in the fridge as the assembly is made to order.
The actual souffle pancake orders take 25 min. Which is understandable as souffle pancakes do take that much time to cook.
The staff here are super friendly. Don't be rude, and they will be nice back. Easy.
I love the atmosphere of the cafe, some of their playlists are a vibe.
Very small menu hyper-focused on well-made, freshly-made, tasty, adorable fluffs, in a cute space with friendly folks, & with fruit teas & coffee options, too. Tucked away in a tiny strip mall in a residential area, but well worth finding!
It tastes great, sure it takes like 25 minutes, but they have a sign saying it will take that long and as someone who has made the kind of pancake before, yeah it takes forever. Strawberry tea was unique, tasted like freeze-dried strawberry. It was *very* strawberry compared to most places that skimp out on the strawberry, though I'm not sure on how it's flavored.
Very expensive, $18 for strawberry. Staff were nice, souffles were good but unbelievably sweet.
Are they open again yet, since the water damage? We miss going there.

I think this place is just ok.
For 17 dollars. I got one undercooked/raw pancake that I asked if they could remake and they denied it was undercooked. My friend in the table tried my plate and pushed me to ask for them to remake cause she could see it is raw.
The other two on the plate were cooked so I didn't even ask for them to remake the whole thing or provide a refund.
I personally think they skimp out on the toppings.
I liked that the matcha wasn’t too sweet.
Overall was it that bad? No the seating was cute and the atmosphere
Would I go again? No

Came here twice and had a chance to try four different flavors (strawberry, matcha, ube, special Oreo and cream). Overall everything was decent. I got the matcha and ube ones second time around and somehow it felt like the center was a tiny bit undercooked. It seemed more gooey than the first time. The syrups that went with the souffle pancakes were good, not too sweet, and just the right amount. The price seems rather high considering they're pancakes...but each one is made fresh to order and takes about 25 min. So I suppose the high cost is due to the intensity of labor. Of the four flavors tried, strawberry seemed to be the best.
The cafe is quite cute and cozy, giving off a very Japanese kawaii vibe. Walls were decorated with cherry blossom decor and cosplay photos?
Overall, would still recommend for coming and trying once or twice. Would be a nice date place, and for trying something you can't find elsewhere in San Jose.
Vegetarian options: Only serve pancakes and coffee/tea here . No meat served
Parking: Small parking lot. Not bad if not busy traffic. But if busy traffic may have difficulty finding spot.
Kid-friendliness: Very kawaii and cozy vibe. They have a few card games available for folks waiting on food

Had some of their pancake, which was amazing, and a mango tea. Yum Yum!!! We drove up from Sacramento so my daughter could attend a cosplay meet-up. It was pretty cool.

The food and drinks may be a bit too sweet, and there is no regular hot tea, but this is still a place you should visit at least once as the results are quite intriguing. It takes a bit of time for the pancakes to be made, so don't go here if you are in a hurry. There is outside seating.
