I recently visited the Rapchik Rooster food truck and tried their chicken tikka kabab and soya chaap. Both dishes were delicious, but the soya chaap stood out with its unique flavor and texture. However, I found the price of $15+ a bit steep compared to the quality.

Despite this, I’m eager to explore other options on their menu, as the flavors were truly satisfying. If you’re looking for tasty Indian street food on the go, Rapchik Rooster is worth a visit, but keep in mind that prices might be on the higher side.

We were all excited to try their food after we saw the reel on Instagram...but the excitement soon changed into a nightmare. We had order Lucknowi galawati kebab, berry pulao , chicken tikka masala & delhi chicken roll. The galawati kebab was pathetic beyond words. Firstly for 15.95$ the tiny size 4 nuggets of kebab wasn't worth the prize. 2ndly the taste of the kebab was so sour that we almost wanted to call the food truck and ask him for the refund.
We had ordered large plate berry pulao which was no less than a plain biryani rice with few berries, roasted cashews and fried onion on the top. And instead of the large plate the vendor gave us this plate without letting us know that he is giving us a plate rather than a large plate of pulao.
Their dilli chicken kathi roll was also super greasy and too much high on sodium.
GUYS if you are keeping food items which is really famous from india please try to keep some respect for the food served under that heritage dishes of india.
Full 70$ dinner order got wasted . Definitely think before u go here . For this price you would get great food elsewhere . HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED

Excellent and authentic Indian food. We had chicken tikka wrap with fries which was the best kathi roll/wrap I have had in bay area. We also had the shekh kabab which was awesome too

Rapchik Rooster was at our office in a food truck for 1 meat and 1 vegetarian option. There was a big queue to get the food as the food was very tasty. The taste and quality of food along with friendliness of the staff was exceptional. I am looking forward to come back again and support local food.

Last night was our second time tasting Chef Jiten Singh’s food. If this review had been for the Lucknowi Galauti Kebabs alone, it would undeniably be 5 stars - both times we’ve had them, these have been sensational. They melt in your mouth and are likely to cause fights over who gets the last bite. We also tried the Chicken Tikka Kathi Rolls - first time these were great; last night was honestly a little disappointing because of how overcooked and hard the outer paratha was. The roll all but crumpled into my plate and I ended up having to eat it like you would a chicken curry-and-roti traditionally. The unique dipping sauce that comes with this kathi roll is a pleasant surprise though because it’s nothing like the watered-down variants of “chutneys” so many Bay Area Indian or Desi restaurants throw in with orders. We have previously tried the Byculla Chicken Seekh Kathi Roll and were entirely underwhelmed by its dryness and lack of flavor and juiciness. So, we skipped that item this time around. Instead - a new item we tried last night was the Dilli Chicken Tikka and that was outstanding. Juicy, tender, rich and flavorful without having a malai overload after effect that makes one feel queasy. It definitely seems like some items on this menu are consistently incredible while others may be a hit or miss. That said, we were one of the last orders of the night and the Chef did apologize for the long wait (we didn’t mind as we were in no rush). I’m docking a star for the lackluster kathi roll paratha and the dry Byculla seekh. Also, worth noting that this food truck is parked in a reasonably decent parking lot but it is not well-lit, there is no seating, and no ways to pass the time if you needed to distract an impatient toddler or even a hungry, impatient adult for that matter.

Rapchik Rooster has been one of my best finds this month. A food truck run by chef Jitender Singh, it serves Indian food that is not found in many restaurants in the Bay area.

The options range from Berry Pulao the traditional Parsi-Irani rice dish, Galawti Kebabs from Lucknow, Byculla Seekh kebabs, Soya Chaaps that remind you of Chandni Chowk food and the classic curries such as Butter Chicken and Dal Makhani.

I tried the Lucknow Galawti Kebabs, Chicken Roll Kathi style and the most refreshing Mango Lassi. The Galawti Kebabs were a melt in your mouth experience with the laccha pyaaz pickled to add extra zest. The Chicken Kathi Roll was moist and juicy.

Another highlight is the food wrapper in which the chef serves his delicacies , as the chef shares his experiences in a piece of paper which we normally discard but this one provides information in the world of Rapchik Rooster.

Do give it a try if you want to try authentic Indian food fresh and delicious!!

This amazing food truck serves up kebabs that are bursting with flavor, just like you'd find on the streets of Delhi! The owner is super friendly and passionate about the food. My personal favorite is the Byculla chicken seekh kebab, but the lamb galouti kebab is also incredible - it literally melts in your mouth! The berry pulao in their meal platters is the perfect complement to the savory kebabs. Overall, I highly recommend this food truck - it's a hidden gem!
