Review is biased. Because I love this place when it was called El Faro's and run by the local family that ran it for generations. It was previously a Mexican dive with good food good prices. I think the food is about the same but the prices are way up and instead of a Mexican place called El Faro it's now called Roberto's Cantina but it's the same place. Where have the Cisneros gone? Elena where have you gone? You might like it, a lot of people do, but the place is a disappointment for me.Like I said the place is not for me, but it's usually crowded and people seem to like it, it's not my form of authentic Mexican food. But I encourage you to try it once and see if you like it. If you do Post back that I am incorrect.Parking: Parking exactly next to the place is very difficult. But Sunnyvale has four parking lots and garages Within one block of this place so parking is very easy. You will just have to walk one block which should be no big deal if you're going out for Mexican food.

I had the "chose two" dinner plate. Quesadilla and Enchilada with black beans and rice. Very good, liked the sauce and the pork in the Enchilada was nice. Very good margaritas also.

First time we stopped in. I ordered a chili relleno plate with refried beans and rice. All dishes were excellent. The two salsas with the chips were delicious, too.

Went for dinner last Saturday, my husband and I both got a combination plate. He had a fish taco and a carne asada taco, I had a fish taco and Carnita enchilada. We both had a mango margarita. The margaritas were very good, tasted like fresh mango was used rather than the typical mango syrup. The food was pretty good, and good portions.

Robertos is a family friendly mexican restaurant with delicious food and drink options. I usually go with a burrito when I visit. The portions are generous and the quality of the ingredients is excellent. During my last visit, I happened to go to the bathroom and my friend ordered nachos for me. I didn't want nachos but let's just say I'm glad she ordered those for me! They were delicious and I didn't leave a crumb! I would definitely get that again instead of my usual! The staff is also attentive and friendly. I appreciate that they remember me when I go back to eat and they treat me like family. If you're in sunnyvale downtown area you do not want to miss this spot.
