Love this place. Large slices of fish on the nigiri, towers of draft Sapporo, great entrees. Favorite place for Japanese in the Bay Area.

Nice izekaya with a variety of dishes. We came here because of the Fugetsu association and had originally been only intending to eat pork okonomiyaki, but saw the broader menu selections. We ended up also ordering the unagi meishi, udon, agadashi tofu, tempura, and tekka making. Everything was delicious.
The noise level is pretty loud, but in line with an izekaya.

Got 3 blisters on my fingertips from a dish served dangerously hot! We ordered a sizzling egg dish, and the waiter placed it far away from us at the bar, so I reached to move it closer. For the record, he did say, “Be careful, it’s hot,” so I specifically touched the wooden base—not the pan—thinking it would be safe.
Within one second, I had a severe burn.
I asked for ice, which they gave me, and a man brought out 2 first aid supplies and told me to apply it. That was appreciated—but no one said sorry or even asked if I was okay. When we left, the only thing they said was, “Thank you very much!”
There are several serious issues here:
1. The dish should not be brought out this dangerously hot.
2. If it has to be this hot, it must be placed safely—near the rest of the food, especially for bar seating.
3. “It’s hot” is not a strong enough warning. Most people will assume the pan is hot, not the wood base. There should be a clear verbal warning not to touch the wood at all or to use a napkin.
4. They could easily wrap the base with a cloth or napkin to make it safer to handle.
This wasn’t just a small mishap—it was a painful injury that could’ve been easily avoided with better communication and basic safety precautions. Burn on fingertip is the worst and most painful, and so inconvenient for doing anything for the next several days or week until it recover.

Very great, with a price point to match. Need to call out their sushi selection is solid, and better than some actual sushi places in the South Bay!

Great find in Sunnyvale downtown. Service was quick, the sushi was fresh and the dishes were flavorful.

Very contemporary Japanese bar vibes. Dark and mysterious lowkey

Portions were huge one app and one entree was enough for the two of us. Chicken namban was sooo juicy. And ebi mayo cheese modanyaki was yummmm. A bit too much sauce lowkey, but too sweet.
Normal Malaysian restaurant

They have a dragon roll that's addictive you want two set of them. Trust me they will get eaten with a quickness when you share them.
Food is good and this packed even during a week night. Will return.
Nice Japanese restaurant. They have a good selection of sushi.
It was crowded, and the service was slow on Friday night.
Everything about this restaurant was good.
Good Japanese restaurant, and become much better after update menu which has more choice now.
