Rubio's is severely underrated, and I think it has to do with the name of the place - it doesn't convey the sense of type of food they serve, it just sounds like a local Mexican taqueria, but it is not. It is a baja style counter service chain delivering healthy, high-quality, and amazing (!!!) tasting food at the best prices around for fish, shrimp, and regular meat options in taco, burrito, or bowl form. Love the food here but they put a lot of salt in the meat. So, its good that i can mix it with the beans and rice.They should add live music on Fridays since they have a nice outdoor area.

This is truly one of the gems of the Bay Area and one of the few remaining. This is an excellent “healthier” Mexican restaurant which has some really good fresh Mexican food options.
