Seafood was not frozen and cleanliness was debatable. Rest of the food was decent.

Semi self-service. (Raw) meat selection for the table & personalized soup base are brought to you; the remainder (veggies, tofu & seafood) come on the conveyor belt. You pick your own side-dish sauces (buffet style). All you can eat but limited to 90 min.

Meats were very fresh, as were the seafood, since we had an 11 am reservation (allowed for > 6 people; more on this below). Plentiful and speedy conveyor belt since we were the "1st shift" (get my drift?). I preferred shrimp & chicken (low fat), but was able to tear off the fat (yup, strip by strip if your diet tends in that direction) from the red meats. After a while, no one could tell what meats were on which plates! We thought the baby scallops were great: fresh and tender if you let it into the soup only for 15 seconds, yet they didn't toughen up if you left them in for a while. Shrimp: delicious & fresh, and you have a choice of shelled vs with the full metal jacket!

The variety of tofu was really good. The puffy rectangles were especially nice since they soaked up the soup and softened upon contact with moisture. There were sufficient greens to even things out. We saw a group of Buddhist monks in the queue, so you know it's possible to eat vegan here.

Some of the soup base selections were exceptional: tomato (so good!), mushrooms & Tonkatsu highly recommended (these all start with bone broth, I believe). Miso not so much (uninteresting). The soup gets more flavorful as the meal progresses, so it's better to get something not too intense.

We secured a reservation with 7 people, but personally, I wouldn't do this again. The seating for a big group still places the conveyor belt next to only 2 people, so now those closest to the belt must continuously serve the rest of the table. It's too much. Far better to break up the group into foursomes. However, I've heard that sometimes they stuff a lone customer onto a table for 3. How weird is that?

While the atmosphere is alright, the style of food service is such that it made for a feeding frenzy with no conversation (except to praise the food). If it's a visit you seek, this is not the experience you'd want. Or plan to visit another place afterwards.

Seapot offers a nice conveyor belt style buffet with a lot of selection if you pick both hot pot and BBQ. However, with the price/quality ratio of the food, there is probably no reason to come back, unless our friends choose to:)

With only hotpot buffet, the meat selection is limited, and the seafood from the conveyor belt is subpar in quality (frozen and just taken out, so not fresh at all). They have a lot of veggie, mushroom and tofu so good for vegetarian. We tried 4 different broths and all of them were bland/ lackluster. On the bright side, there is a free sauce and fruit counter that made up for it.

The service was ok. There is 90min limit, but the last order closed 30min before. So realistically you have ~3 times to order meat, limited to 1 type per person in the table.

Atmosphere was so so, not as cosy as a hotpot place should be.

Order placed through the waiter responsible for your table. You'll need to wait for that person when you need to order or check on missing items. The BBQ grill (induction? as it wasn't open flame) was low, even set to high, so the meat was very slowly cooked. Our bbq grill might have been defected. The hot pot was not bad while waiting for your meat to cook. It's a nice place to try out once for Hotpot. If I come back again, then I'll just do the hotpot because if the grill was working as intended, then it's not worth the experience and price.

Absolute trash hotpot store. Drinks need to pay, ice cream need to pay. Never ate in such a trash hotpot store before. Definitely not recommend.

It was spectacular, seeing all the different fresh ingredients circulating on the belt, being able to choose is incredible, and eating right from the stove.

The whole share of food concept + cross-contamination potential clearly got to me. I was on the toilet the entire next day. The meat is sliced so thinly that for the price you're hardly really getting a good value. And I watched frog legs sit on that conveyor belt for 2 hours and they were the same ones. There's no way that those would not have made somebody sick had they tried to cook them. And I've never seen so much food wasted in all my life. The amount of food that they threw away watching buss tub after bus tub after bus tub just get thrown away. It was sad and pathetic to see it. It was a birthday party we were out with friends. It was a good time but I personally would never go back. I don't think any of the meat had that much flavor. It just I think was very expensive cook your own soup

As an AYCE hot pot enthusiast family, we had heard lots of good things about Seapot. And having come a couple times before and gave up because the wait list was too long, we finally made it in for dinner over this recent Thanksgiving holiday.

The decor is modern, sparkly, and appealing. Check out some of the attached videos.

But to be honest, the food was a just okay -- at 8:30pm in a Friday evening, they had already run out of the Wagyu toro (which no doubt is the most popular and best cut), so we had to settle for the other beef cuts (and why would anyone want to order the chicken?). They were also slow to fill the dishes on the conveyor belt, which should have brought around some of the other nicer food selections like shrimp and squid.

On the bright side, our server was very responsive and proactive in asking when we wanted to order more meats. And she ended up bringing us the shrimp rather than have us wait for the conveyor.

Pro Tip: the shrimp with heads was actual large and premium tasting -- definitely a highlight if you can get it!

There is a 90 minute time limit, which frankly is pretty typical for an AYCE hot pot place. And an oddity is that the drinks are NOT free refill.
