I can’t begin to describe the ordeal I’ve had to go through hosting a baby shower at Shosha. The owner is highly unprofessional and cannot be trusted with their words. I’d encourage you to create some sort of contract if you do intend to host an event here.
We hosted a baby shower and paid for the bigger venue of the two event venues at Shosha. On the day of the event, we arrived and tried setting up some decorations when the service guy informed us to move it to the smaller room! The owner first literally denied us having booked the larger space and asked us to CANCEL THE EVENT ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT WHEN ALL GUESTS WERE DUE TO ARRIVE IN LESS THAN AN HOUR. The audacity of plainly lying to our face and then finally accepting their mistake was a shocker for us.
We could see the world fall apart in front of us. I could only imagine the insult that was impending! She then agreed to give the larger space to us for two hours while we initially agreed for three hours! My guests were literally holding their plates with food still incomplete, while their servers took away the complete buffet from in front of us. Absolutely ridiculous. I cannot begin to describe the shame this brought upon us. We saw other Chinese people lay pizzas on the buffet table while our guests were still eating.
I was planning to sue the owner in case this event was cancelled. Anyways, STAY AWAY FROM SHOSHA.
The only silver lining was some of the food items such as Dal bukhara, pistachio rasmalai, butter paneer, paneer pakoda tasted really good.

I visited Sosha in Sunnyvale for an office team lunch and as a North Indian vegetarian, I’ll admit I walked in with very low expectations. Most “North Indian” restaurants in the Bay Area have left me disappointed, and Sosha’s sub-4.0 rating didn’t inspire much confidence either. But I’m so glad to say it completely surprised me!
The first good sign was the crowd, not a single non-Indian diner in sight, which for me is usually a sign of authentic flavors.
For starters, I ordered Mango Palak Chaat and Koliwada Popcorn Mushroom. The popcorn mushroom was an instant hit at our table, so good that we immediately ordered a second plate. (Only wish it came with a side of chutney!) The chaat was also well-balanced and flavorful.
For the main course, I had Fauladi Malai Kofta, Methi Gobi Mutter, and Jackfruit Biryani, accompanied by Katlama Naan. Every dish was spot on, rich, aromatic, and perfectly cooked. The naan was especially memorable, soft, buttery, and unlike anything I’ve had before.
My teammates who ordered meat dishes were equally impressed they said their dishes were well-prepared and flavorfu.
For dessert, we tried Shahi Tukda and Rasmisu. The Shahi Tukda could’ve been even better if the bread was fried in ghee instead of vegetable oil, but the Rasmisu was an absolute standout , creamy, light, and delicious.
A special mention to our server, he spoke my native language, and we instantly connected. He recommended most of the dishes based on what I said I was in the mood for, and every recommendation was spot on. He was attentive throughout and made sure our water glasses were always full.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Authentic flavors, thoughtful menu, and great service. I’m already planning my next visit to try more dishes from their menu. Highly recommended for anyone craving genuine Indian flavors in the Bay Area.

There is nothing special about this place. The food is dressed-up mediocrity. The staff, in particular the gm (owner maybe) named Navleen, has a disgusting personality. Do I even need to mention the outstanding price?
Really, they just threw a bunch of nothing on a plate and called it $35. They don't know how to operate.
Dinner at SoSha was a SHOWOFF of refreshing nostalgic flavored drinks, savory appetizers, mouthwatering curries.
Tasty kheer
Overpriced, Overhyped, and Underwhelming
Paneer Tikka: For the price, I was expecting something much juicier. The paneer was a bit too tight and dry, which made it hard to enjoy. The flavors were there, but it needed more marination to make it tender.
Chilly Paneer: Again, the price was a little steep for what you get. The paneer was also quite firm, and while the sauce had a decent kick to it, it didn’t quite hit the right balance. It wasn’t bad, but I’ve definitely had better.
Red Meat: This dish was quite salty—almost to the point where it overshadowed the other flavors. A little more attention to seasoning and balance would go a long way here.
Cheese Kofta: This felt more like a filler dish than something worth paying for. The koftas were okay, but nothing special. They could’ve used more flavor and a bit more richness.
Drinks: Now, the drinks were a pleasant surprise. They were refreshing and well-made, which was a nice change from the food.
We came here for Father's day with parents.. We had a really good time with the restaurant's superior service. The Indian food is very authentic and delicious. I highly recommend that people come here to eat indian varieties. Only need to call for every requirement, while eating.
Food was very very average in general and especially for the cost. The place was very noisy due to a party upstairs. Didn’t find the value for the money spent

We wanted to celebrate my brothers birthday and after searching a little we came across this beautiful restaurant via yelp.
My sister in law booked it for dinner and we booked for early dinner so there wasn’t much rush.
The appetizers were very good mango palak chat smoky pulled chicken and corn chat chilli chicken.
The main course was Laal Maas and chicken tikka masala and mixed naan.
The food was good could have more flavour especially the Laal Maas.
The best part was they made our day special by creating a beautiful ambience for cutting cake with music and lighting.
Thanks to Ms Navleen for the tour of restaurants when we inquired about party halls.
Strongly recommend
Amazing cocktails, food and vibe.
I visited when this place first opened and had a mixed experience. That time, we were initially seated indoors, but the setup was so tight that we asked to be moved. They accommodated us with a longer table in a separate area which technically part of the restaurant but clearly an afterthought, with bare walls and no décor. The interior is interesting, but the way they've organized the seating makes everything feel cramped. For a recent visit with friends, I booked an outdoor table expecting heaters or some kind of setup typical of restaurants at this level. Unfortunately, the outdoor area was disappointing, just basic, wobbly tables set out on the street. The waitstaff was kind but inexperienced. I found myself micromanaging the staff instead of relaxing and enjoying time with my friends. On the upside, the food was innovative and freshly prepared. I hesitate to recommend this place. The potential is there, but they need to focus less on flashy décor and more on delivering a professional dining experience that truly considers the guest's comfort.
Amazing Indian Food, Cocktails were great. Ambience was perfect and they had a little surprise for a birthday celebration.
Shosha is a great restaurant with a really nice location in the heart of Sunnyvale. Their food is well presented and equally tasteful. We especially enjoyed all the appetizers and the drinks.
