Visited on a Friday night after a movie. Eatery was cozy and waiter was attentive refilling our waters. Food was okay - my friend had drunken noodles and I had yellow curry. I state it was okay as the best Thai I've had is in Rocklin, CA (yes, I drive all the way up there for this restaurant across the street from Sierra College) and am still in search of a great Thai place in Sunnyvale. Yellow curry had too much crunchy onion for my taste versus a good balance of potato and carrots. I also prefer onions cooked all the way in curry versus crunchy. As I mentioned to my friend - onion is not a vegetable in my book, it should be an enhancer. Her drunken noodles were okay as she mentioned she's used to more flavorful. I took her drunken noodle leftover home since it wasn't outstanding...it was just okay. With that said, we felt it was overpriced for the quality. Looks like I'll be driving to Rocklin President's day weekend for a well balanced, hearty yellow curry with vegetables and fully cooked onions.

It’s not good. They don’t meet a good ratio of price, quantity, and quality. The corn cakes were fine but not worth $16 since each small corn cake is $4. That dish should be closer to $10. The angel wings were sliced and when it was served it was lukewarm and no longer hot. The yellow curry tasted fine but not good enough to justify being $20 and it doesn’t include rice. The eggplant curry tasted bitter and was not worth $20 and also does not include rice. I don’t plan on eating here again and I don’t recommend it to anyone else.

I ordered 6 dishes to go for a party, and was very disappointed with 5 out of 6. The 3 Pad See Ew dishes tasted not fresh and bland. Two basil stir-fry dishes were too spicy to eat, even though we ordered 3 out of 10 spiciness level (online). I had this dish in the past, they seemed to have changed chef/recipe, or didn’t read the online order carefully.

The good: Pad Thai was tasty. And the takeout order was prepared promptly.

I don’t eat Thai food often, but next time I am in the mood, I will try a different place (sad to say)

This restaurant in Sunnyvale downtown has clearly stood the test of time. We dropped in a couple of weeks ago for Saturday lunch and had a pretty good meal.

The service was quick and the outdoor seating was comfortable. We were with another family who ordered only vegetarian dishes, and they were happy too. We tried the Veggie appetizer platter, the Roti Prata, the Crab Fried Rice, and the Pad Kee Mao. The roti prata was a minor disappointment since it tasted more like the frozen kind than something made fresh, but everything else was tasty and served hot. The crab fried rice was excellent.

There are plenty of good Thai places in the South Bay now, but if you are in the historic Sunnyvale downtown area, this one is worth a shot.

Had a good lunch at Siam Taste the other day. I don’t recall if there was a lunch special menu but the two of us ended up getting three dishes ala carte.

Spring rolls with shrimp as appetizers. Man these were plump and big! Comes with six pieces and dipping sauce. Pretty good, especially if you like fresh mint leaves flavor.

Next dish was Penang curry I believe. Or some kind of curry anyway. Tasty sauce but could have used a bit more chicken. Also a little thick for me. And it wasn’t served hot enough (temperature, not spice).

Final dish was broccoli and beef. This was a unique one for me as I’m used to the Chinese version and this definitely had a different type of sauce/flavor. Again very thick sauce and was kind of lukewarm temperature.

The service was good. The place was old but clean. Pleasant. They service food on nice dishware. Three dishes plus tax and tip was pretty expensive over $70 for a weekday lunch with only water to drink. This kind of drove my star rating.

Expensive for the taste. Basil fried rice didn't seem fresh. Drunken noodles were delicious. Mango sticky fried rice was decent, not great.

Tom kha had a very little veggies. Noodles were okay. Overall food tasted okay. Not as great as in some other places though. Vegetarian options without eggs are available.

Delicious food and excellent service! This is easily one of the best Thai restaurants in Sunnyvale.
We ordered the Thai Massaman curry and Yellow Curry Fried Rice—both were packed with rich, authentic flavors. The Massaman curry, in particular, had a beautifully balanced flavor profile that was absolutely perfect. Loved every bite!
The service was friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even better.
