Not sure what happened to The Don's Deli standards. It was not what I expected. Its a deli with a South American twist, please take the sign down it is an insult to THIS Salvadorian. The place was not clean and cluttered. Still has old Mexican restaurant furniture up and design. Even Lopez next door re-did it all. It is all about first impressions. It was dirty and hopefully I do not get ill from eating the food I regret ordering. I will not be returning here again! If you are going to service customer at least be clean and adhere to food safety standards. Get your act together, can't support a local business in this condition.

Placed the order online at 1:06 pm through an app. Estimated to be ready by 1:36. I arrived at 1:33, and no one was here. A stranger outside said the worker had just left. When she returned at 1:54, the worker was not polite in addressing the issue.

This place used to be a Taqueria El Grullo which closed a few months ago. We got the chipotle chicken and the classic. The sandwiches are pretty solid and they had a variety of sandwiches. The inside is a bit awkward since they still have all the decorations from the taqueria but for a quick sandwich spot, it had a lot of potential.
There’s a sign in the front that says Mexican and Central American cuisine which we didn’t see.

The Don's Deli is now at Evelyn and Fair Oaks! It's too bad that they had to move from downtown, but we always love their sandwiches.

No frills sandwich shop with an expansive menu. Had the California on Dutch crunch 👌🏻 which is not a usual bread option on the east coast. Huge sandwich btw

Tacos and sandwiches at the same place?? So good!
Looks like they're gone... Inside is totally cleared out.
This was my favorite sandwich spot over the past few years :(
I really enjoy these sammies. I go there, I order the food, and the they hand deliver it to me. I then proceed to eat this food and it satisfies my soul. That's a little throwback to my main man Bobby Marley. So don't be a fool and come get your sammies at Donald's Delicatessen.
The sandwiches were just okay. The Mac and cheese was probably the worst I've ever had and the Caesar salad was basically the same you would get from the grocery store.
The location itself looks like it's closing at the end of the year permanently, and the inside appeared that way - the bathroom was not even functional/open for use.
This is a small local chain serving a great variety of deli sandwiches with fresh ingredients. I had the Dirty Bird on soft French bread and my wife had the tuna and avocado on sourdough. Both were fresh and tasty. We took them on a picnic, so we didn't add anything else, but they also offer a variety of sides, chips and cookies. Every now and then they give out a free cookie!
The staff was efficient and polite, and the store is conveniently located off of Saint Francis in Sunnyvale where you can eat outside on a nice day.
