Had one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time here. We weren’t familiar with many of the dishes so one of the staff helped us. She was very friendly. We got one of the thali and all of the little dishes were delicious!

This is my favorite place to go for thali when I'm in the Bay Area. The proprietor is so friendly and always gives me extra spicy pickles which are absolutely divine. There is always far more food than we can possibly eat and I'm always shocked by the bill. I've never spent this little on dinner out before and had it be so fantastic and so much food. If you haven't gotten thali before, don't be put off by a no-frills environment. These places always have the BEST food, best prices, and BEST people.

One of the worst set dosa and sambar I’ve ver had in my life. Both dosa batter or samabar was not smelling good. It looks like it was cooked prev day and heated for us to have. I don’t recommended.Will not comment more on service and atmosphere. They are fine for small size restaurant.
I visited Ugadi restaurant at 950 W El Camino Real, Sunnyvale and had a good experience. The prices are very reasonable, and the taste is good. I ordered idli sambhar, which was enjoyable, and puliyogare rice, which was a bit tangy. The restaurant was surprisingly not crowded, and the service was provided by a single person who was nice but took some time. Overall, a decent place to dine.

He emulates SRINI perfectly.I am amongst the earliest fans of UGAD when SRINIS's parents were there working non stop.They would always pick the phone. They would always give us whatever delicious dishes we wanted. And whatever time we wanted.I just now call and AJAY gives me whatever dishes I want [whether it is on the menu] or not.And with whatever customization he wants.Happy Days are here again. AJAY is now the new human face of UGADI. And made UGADI even more wonderful than it ever was..
