Had one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time here. We weren’t familiar with many of the dishes so one of the staff helped us. She was very friendly. We got one of the thali and all of the little dishes were delicious!
This is my favorite place to go for thali when I'm in the Bay Area. The proprietor is so friendly and always gives me extra spicy pickles which are absolutely divine. There is always far more food than we can possibly eat and I'm always shocked by the bill. I've never spent this little on dinner out before and had it be so fantastic and so much food. I visited Ugadi restaurant at 950 W El Camino Real, Sunnyvale and had a good experience. The prices are very reasonable, and the taste is good. I ordered idli sambhar, which was enjoyable, and puliyogare rice, which was a bit tangy. The restaurant was surprisingly not crowded, and the service was provided by a single person who was nice but took some time. Overall, a decent place to dine.
