Underrated bar in the downtown area. Cheap drinks, good music on Wednesdays, and an insanely good bartender.

Aloft Sunnyvale on its own is good enough value for money spent. However, what truly stood out was the customer ser ice of its front desk. Shoutout to Michelle for helping me out a ton when I was trying to extend my stay. No excuses were made and she found a way to get it done even under difficult circumstances. Roy was also great with the room upgrade when he saw that I had brought a friend and might have needed a bigger bed. 10/10 Customer Service!

I had a wonderful stay at the Aloft. The team at the desk were extremely helpful in extending my reservation. I want to recognize the work of Sarai and Ahmed who took the time to ensure my room was clean and ready for my arrival. They helped me make arrangements quickly when I needed to extend my stay. There were friendly and totally dedicated to my satisfaction. I would not hesitate to stay here again. There are many excellent restaurants only a block away.

This hotel was recommended to me as I was going to a birthday party at a neighboring restaurant & bar. I learned it was a Marriott brand so I blindly booked it. I had no idea most of the rooms were very small. I had a queen bed and the room had 2-feet on each side of the bed. There was a small space of 8x6 at the end of the bed adjacent to the small desk and small closet. The bathroom was decent size. Everything was VERY clean. The bed was very comfy. There is a small outdoor patio with chairs & small tables. The lobby bar was not open on Saturday. The only issue was the fact that every time someone used the stairwell (I was at the end of the hall) it created a vacuum suction and my door would bang against the door jam. Even the deadbolt and safety latch did not help. FWIW- i did go into a King Suite unit of a friends. It had a small couch and tv sitting area along with the king bed. She said it was just a few dollars more and well worth the cost.

- I had requested a quiet room but got a very noisy one with train horns and loud music late at night from a disco next door. At least they allowed me to switch rooms around midnight. - The first room was below par (stayed on another Aloft recently): The shower did not have enough pressure, it was a bathtub and plastic curtain setup as opposed to the standard Aloft shower box. - Free coffee only in the morning ( not all day like the other location), nothing else available for free (fruits for example) - It is close to commerce and restaurants - I would not stay there again

My company booked this hotel for me and my experience here was pretty bad. The rooms are tiny, pricy, and most important is very noisy! I’m not sure it’s their hallways air con. outside the room was malfunctioning or always just like this, but it’s not just loud I can even feel the floor vibrating because of it. I asked to change room or even change to other floors, but not much difference. I can feel the whole building is shaking, especially during the nighttime. The only good thing was the location, but it’s no way to over to have a good night sleep. If you, unfortunately, have to stay here, here is my suggestion. Ask a room number less than 214/314/414 no matter which floor or will be too close to the the loudly hallways air con.

Don't get me wrong, I've stayed over 550 nights at Marriott properties going back to 2006; not a big fan of this hotel. My second stay at an Aloft (comparing to Sea-tac Airport). This hotel is small, has small rooms, has very dark and narrow hallways. If this is the "industrial vibe" concept - no more for me. The hotel lacks a proper entry; not even a loading zone to drop off your bags. The entrance featured in their photos is actually the back door. Rooms have a grey theme and feel like a dorm room. Front desk advised my that their would be any breakfast because they did not have a cook that Saturday - really??? Would avoid.
