You’ll miss out if you haven’t tried this amazing cake heaven yet!! It has been my favorite and go-to place for the last 3-4 years and counting!

First of all, let’s talk about aesthetic! I love that the owner uses neutral colors and nicely accents it with plants, creating such a sanctuary! As a plant mom, I approve.

This cake place specialized in Mille crepe cakes with all the specialized flavors, such as durian, pork floss, matcha, crème brûlée, tiramisu, red bean mochi, etc. Their cakes are light, melt in your mouth and not so sweet! If you’re Asian, that’s the highest and best compliment for a dessert!

If you opt to eat your cakes in store, there are cute table arrangements for you to sit down and enjoy the plants. You can ask for a free pot of hot tea of your choice. The staff will make and bring the hot tea to you for safety reason.

I used to work close to What’s More and it has been my escape whenever work became unbearable. Something about their perfect and well made dessert and the ambience of the store itself always work like a charm every time. My stress melts away with every bite of delicious cakes.

They sometimes have seasonal items too such as soft persimmon mochis or molten cakes. Cakes also have limited quantities so make sure you come early :)

The owner is always happy to see you and has great service. One bonus thing is that they’re dog friendly so you may bring your pup too for an afternoon tea experience. And there’re always abundant parking spots around the store :)

Fantastic cake & customer service! They’re also bilingual- English and Mandarin & thoughtfully explained how to prep the 3 cakes I picked up (eg microwave the molten cake for ~ 20 sec with the plastic wrapped taken off if a softer topping consistency is preferred since it will slightly harden after being stored in the fridge waiting for pick up; ideally the mochi bun should be eaten w/in same day to experience it in its best form/texture but you the molten cakes can be eaten the next morning if it can’t be eaten the same day.) They kindly shared a sample of their sea salt cheese molten cake - it was truly EYE OPENING. It looks sublimely simple - but in that one bite I experienced a perfect harmony of mild sweetness balanced with a hint of saltiness admist a fluffy pillowy chiffon of goodness topped with luscious cream and a nice crunch of sliced toasted almonds. Simple flavors done well in brilliant combination of textures and mouthfeel! (And this was just all based on the sample I got. when I have time I will report back on how the 3 take out items I order tastes - ie tbe persimmon mochi bun, avocado jasmine caramel, molten cake, and cheese honey taro molten cake taste)
Updated: all the above were delicious, but I went back on Xmas day (yes they open on Christmas!!!) & found even more delicious items! I would say my fav molten cake is now the orange pistachio, then avocado jasmine caramel, then salted cheese, then cheese honey taro. They also have 鳳梨酥Taiwanese styled pineapple cakes - and dare I say this is probably one of the best made ones on the West coast. (Chia De - local to TW only, then Sunny Hills - local to TW or Boba Guys, then CA-based Sheng Kee’s 土鳳梨酥 used to be my favs but) WMC’s shortcake outer cookie is buttery yet balanced with a nice airy crumble mouthfeel. The pineapple filling is a not too sweet and tad more in the tart side to complement/temper the richness of the butteriness of the outer short cookie. Overall, really well done pineapple cake (and worth 2x the cost of SK’s for special occasions)! I also tried their mille crepe cakes (pandan/raspberry and sesame/dark chocolate). They are BEAUTIFUL and rival Lady M’s in a sense; tho they aren’t as sweet & their crepe layers are like razor thin! Also, favor-wise the sesame dark chocolate was impressive - i didn’t think the robust dark chocolate aroma could come so poignantly with all the creme potentially turning it into milk chocolate, but I think they enriched the dark chocolate taste using cocoa powder btw the layers. The pandan I didn’t really taste and got more raspberry (tho it was a very fresh raspberry taste). Technicality/skill-wise for a patisserie I feel WMC has a slight advantage over Lady M (vs they have the scale up production as their advantage). However, I’m honestly not usually a mille crepe kind of girl, so I personally would choose their molten cakes over their mille crepe cakes (except molten cakes aren’t sold by the slices and the smallest atm is a 4” one).

Last but not least, WMC is very thoughtful in their packaging. Each little mille crepe slice gets its own divider in the box so if u get different flavors it won’t mix if you um hit some speed bumps while driving. Also the molten cakes seemed securely “glued” to a bottom cardboard so no “drifting” befell my cakes when I drove them home (within normal speed limits). 😅 But I was advised ahead of time to place the cake btw/under the car seats to be safe - which I followed to the T.

Got these Togo so didn't get to spend much time inside. Ordered the persimmon mochi (2) and the salted yolk pork floss crepe cake (1 slice).

Pretty steep price for these items. I wouldn't mind it if the tastes matched but sadly I was kinda disappointed. Flavors for both items were really underwhelming. Persimmon was barely sweet which is crazy because it's in season right now. Mochi was very soft and chewy, texture wise it was perfect. But again, no flavor. Cream inside also was not sweet at all. I don't like extremely sweet desserts, so I was really surprised by the cream not being sweet at all. The pork floss crepe cake was my least favorite. I've had pork floss desserts from other bakeries and this is the worst one I've tried. Not enough pork floss and the egg yolk was really really dry, tasted like plastic.
I wouldn't try again and I can't say I'd recommend it.

The mochi from whaT's More cake is excellent! It's very soft and tender. We tried the persimmon and durian fillings - both of which were fresh fruit and delicious. If you dine in, they offer you freshly brewed tea. Overall, a very easy pre order experience and delicious mochi.

I really enjoyed the desserts at this store! I got a slice of the pork floss salted egg yolk crepe cake with complimentary tea for dine in, and the cake was so lovely — the flavors were very well balanced and light sweetness, so it didn’t feel heavy at all. I got the persimmon mochi to go and they were also suuper good; ripe naturally sweetened persimmon and a bit of cream wrapped in fresh tasting, chewy mochi with the perfect QQ.

Overall really enjoyed the desserts and hope to come back and try more!

Seasonal persimmon crepe cake, seasonal persimmon molten cake, season persimmon mochi. All of them felt like persimmon pieces were added in without actually adjusting the recipe for the flavor

Tried this for the first time today and it quickly became our number one favorite dessert place. This is better than Lady M in our opinion. What we like most is that the cakes are not too sweet, just like how it is in Asia. The flavors are also super unique. We had salted egg yolk pork floss crepe cake (our favorite) and durian crepe cake in the store, and sesame dark chocolate crepe cake to-go. Salted egg yolk pork floss crepe cake was sweet and savory, with different dimensions of flavor and textures we never knew cake could be like this. If you dine-in they will give complimentary tea as well (your choice of tea from their pretty wide selection). We will definitely come back again for more cake. And likely every time we need a birthday cake as well.
100% definitely recommend!

Ordered online beforehand but still waited for half an hour to pick up the already made cake 😑😑 no one was at the counter and even after ringing the bell it took forever for some one to come out. The cashier finally came out and just chatted with the other customer non stop, there are other employees in and out of kitchen but no one would bother to help. I ordered ahead to save time and it felt mistreated to stand alone for this long on a simple pick up order. Would avoid

The crepe cakes look pretty and petite! However they didn’t feel worth such a high price point, lacked flavor.
