We have eaten there a couple of times now and both times the food was hot and it was delicious. The service was very good. You can eat outside if you have a little doggie like we did. And you can also leave the dog in the car and the inside which we also did and it was pretty safe cuz she was right there in front. It's in downtown Sutter Creek which is a quaint little area.

This very rustic pub & grill tucked into the foothills of this area is a truly a great place to get some great grip and some good drinks. The portions are very large as you can see by this half order of a great Cesar salad. I asked a lot of the business about the best place to get some good food and they told us about this place so am sharing it with you.

We were super hungry after running into a lot of closed restaurants and decided to give Cavana's a try since they were about the only thing open that wasn't pizza. Boy are we glad we did. We had two sandwiches and they are HUGE. Easily sharable unless you are really hungry. My wife had the turkey and could barely finish half of it. I've always disliked sauerkraut and never ordered it in my life, but threw caution to the wind and had the pastrami and sauerkraut sandwich with upgrade sweet potato fries. Simply put, the sandwich was one of the best I've ever had - and I'm not just saying that. Both sets of fries were crispy and there's a lot of them. Really ... think sharing! Cavana's will be on the "must do" list for our annual visit to Amador County.
