“Visited this tasting room recently. The server was a youg female. She was really nice. She made our wine tasting pleasant. Full of information. Purchased 2023 Zin based on our tasting. When we opened it at home, we thought it was dryer than we noted. Was not fruity either for a Zin. Thought was not as we remembered.”

“Although I live in Turlock, I love love love Cavana‘s in Sutter Creek! This pub and grub has divine menus along with awesome presentations of food. I love the club sandwich and the garlic fries. The atmosphere is friendly and fun. You can meet people at other tables and formulate friendships. But back to the food, it is to die for!”

“I have been all over New England and around California in search of the best clam chowder. I have finally found it in our little gem spot in Sutter Creek, Hotel Sutter. The clams were fresh and perfect texture. Not a fishy taste at all. The nice chunky potatoes were perfectly cooked and perfectly porpotioned! Definitely a MUST try before the season is over.”

“I would very much like to have had a refrigerator in our room. I would also have like to interact with at least one human being beyond email communication. It was very quiet there as we stayed in the middle of the week. It was fairly pleasant the above issues not withstanding.”

“Karmere is a lovely winery with beautiful views. Wonderful place to bring a charcuterie board or picnic lunch to enjoy with a glass of Karmere wines! The staff are personable & friendly, knowledgeable of the wines, and are always eager to serve you! My husband and I are members and always enjoy our time at Karmere!”

“Pho has become our favorite "dine out" dish. We look for it on the road and routinely have it at ABC in Folsom, Thai Kitchen in Lodi, and Coriander in Midtown if we're there. To find a good pho option so close will save us time and gas. Leslie had the vegetarian in beef broth, and I had beef ball/rare steak. My toughest decision was large or small. Went with the small, which with extra noodles from Leslie's bowl was big enough. Deep, complex and perfect. Wish the beef choices had some vegetables in them but, based on everywhere, that's not traditional pho. Hope they add a wonton/noodle.”

“This is a winery with tastings for its own wines. They are great and very reasonable. If you belong to their wine club there are usually quarterly wine club pick ups with food, tastings, and music.”

“Excellent choices for pizzas. Great wines to go with them. For a sampling, try a tasting. Pick your wines and they will introduce you to these really good Italian varietals and games. Or by your favorite by the glass. I miss going to their cute winery, but it is great to be able to have great pizzas and their wines. One of my favorites is the Montepuciano, great with their mushroom and sausage pizza. Enjoy.”
