Avio Vineyards offers exceptional wines in a beautiful setting. Inspired by Italian heritage, this winery provides a free tasting with delicious wines like their port. Guests can enjoy the hospitality of the winemaker and purchase affordably priced bottles to savor on-site or take home.
The vineyards spread over the Motherlode have rolling hills, scenery, and picturesque views in all directions. Avio Vineyards, located in the small community of Sutter Creek, offers a delightful experience. Visitors can witness wooden wine barrels and a cobblestone walkway that leads to the main entry point. This winery does not charge a tasting fee, but guests are encouraged to purchase at least one bottle.
The owner, Stefano Watson, and his family began this lifelong dream in the early-1980's. Avio Vineyards is known for its 2023 Rosato, Cabernet, Zinfandel, and Sangiovese, as well as lighter wines like Pinot Grigio and Sparkling Wines. The red wines have a bold taste due to the hotter climate.
