I have been all over New England and around California in search of the best clam chowder. I have finally found it in our little gem spot in Sutter Creek, Hotel Sutter. The clams were fresh and perfect texture. Not a fishy taste at all. The nice chunky potatoes were perfectly cooked and perfectly porpotioned! Definitely a MUST try before the season is over.

Perfectly prepared medium rare filet mignon, well prepared New York steak a bit more done than I preferred. Wonderful server. It's an historic room in an historic hotel.

Friendly staff when I made the reservation, was running a couple minutes late contacted restaurant. Staff was very gracious and accommodating. Our server was excellent. The restaurant was clean. The staff was attentive. Food came quickly. The taste was excellent, live. Music was entertaining. I would recommend this restaurant.
