Hands down the best restaurant in the mother lode. Carefully crafted menu and wine list allow you for a full Amador county experience. Service was completely awesome, Andrew, is the best way to I've had probably in the last 5 years. Truly professional and an example of what good service is

Came to celebrate a birthday with a party of 8 on a Saturday evening. We made reservations ahead of time, which was good as I don't recall any empty tables. We got squished onto two tables put together so no elbow room. Plus two people were seated at the split so their plates wobbled a bit. The interior was a bit loud and made it challenging to hear others from our party across the table. Food was good, portions were large. We started with a couple of pretzels which were good. I had the Asiago Gnocchi for dinner which was delicious. Drinks were good. I recommend the Spiked Lavender Lemonade. Service was spot on even though they were busy. Andrew was great. They did have a kids menu which included chicken strips and fries and a couple of juice selections. There's a small parking lot behind the building, but we were able to grab the last available street spot. The restaurant appeared ADA accessible, even though some of the surrounding buildings were not.

Came duing the week and ordered the salmon salad and it was delicious, great portions. Staff was very nice and apologetic when their system malfunctioned and didn't add my requested salmon to the order. They were prompt to fix and overall great experience. Ambiance was nice, clean establishment.

We had an amazing male server at first, then a gal that could not remember anything & the male server came back not aware his table was " stolen" Entire dinner she was all over the place forgetting things, order was incorrect. Never brought out plates for the apps. Thankfully the male server who we were stolen from he noticed & checked on us & saw we werent really taken care of. Everything was amazing besides inconsistent of server behavior

While traveling for business, someone suggested that we try Sutter Restaurant in the Sutter Creek Hotel. We sure are glad we did!
Beautiful 1800's hotel in the amazing historic town of Sutter Creek. If you are there for any reason this is the place you dont want to miss!
The food is fantastic, the ambiance is wonderful, the music tantalizing, but what makes the dinner, is the exceptional customer service!
Aaron, our server, went above and beyond, providing the perfect amount of service. Aaron took it over the top with great conversation, top shelf wine, and food. Aaron made our visit, not just a meal, he made it an experience!

We reserved based on the other comments. I will be totally honest. The steak was excellent. I had the special of the day which was pasta with prawns and garlic bread. It was a tiny portion and had good flavor but bread was 2 half pieces of burnt toast. and dry not yummy garlic bread. I asked a friend who lives here and she laughed because a while back they too got burnt toast. I finally asked for a piece of bread not toasted and the waitress brought a piece of not quite frozen but ice cold bread.

A lovely dinner... short ribs and pasta specials were delicious. Scallops, herbed polenta and seasonal veg was equally as good. Andrew provided friendly and excellent service. Overall a fun dining experience.
Everything about our experience was absolute perfection from the appetizers to the main course to the wine!!! The service was amazing and Andrew was so great!!! I would highly recommend and can't say enough good things about Hotel Sutter from the lobby bar to the restaurant to the copper room!!!

We had a great dinner at the Sutter Restsurant. Aaron was fantastic and took great care of us. The Whiskey burger and chocolate lava cake were the standouts. Would definitely recommend (and grab a drink at the adjacent bar before or afterwards).

Was my BD meal. Ordered Scallops for both of us. Was looking for 2 to 3 nice sized scallops on top of polenta base with carrots and broccoli. What we got was 4 scallops the size of a nickel over polenta with carrots and broccoli so hard that one could not cut them let alone eat them. the meal was very disappointing to say the least. Would be safe to say that my wife and I will probably never go back.
