We had an amazing male server at first, then a gal that could not remember anything & the male server came back not aware his table was " stolen" Entire dinner she was all over the place forgetting things, order was incorrect. Never brought out plates for the apps. Thankfully the male server who we were stolen from he noticed & checked on us & saw we werent really taken care of. Everything was amazing besides inconsistent of server behavior

While traveling for business, someone suggested that we try Sutter Restaurant in the Sutter Creek Hotel. We sure are glad we did!
Beautiful 1800's hotel in the amazing historic town of Sutter Creek. If you are there for any reason this is the place you dont want to miss!
The food is fantastic, the ambiance is wonderful, the music tantalizing, but what makes the dinner, is the exceptional customer service!
Aaron, our server, went above and beyond, providing the perfect amount of service. Aaron took it over the top with great conversation, top shelf wine, and food. Aaron made our visit, not just a meal, he made it an experience!

We reserved based on the other comments. I will be totally honest. The steak was excellent. I had the special of the day which was pasta with prawns and garlic bread. It was a tiny portion and had good flavor but bread was 2 half pieces of burnt toast. and dry not yummy garlic bread. I asked a friend who lives here and she laughed because a while back they too got burnt toast. I finally asked for a piece of bread not toasted and the waitress brought a piece of not quite frozen but ice cold bread.

A lovely dinner... short ribs and pasta specials were delicious. Scallops, herbed polenta and seasonal veg was equally as good. Andrew provided friendly and excellent service. Overall a fun dining experience.
Everything about our experience was absolute perfection from the appetizers to the main course to the wine!!! The service was amazing and Andrew was so great!!! I would highly recommend and can't say enough good things about Hotel Sutter from the lobby bar to the restaurant to the copper room!!!

We had a great dinner at the Sutter Restsurant. Aaron was fantastic and took great care of us. The Whiskey burger and chocolate lava cake were the standouts. Would definitely recommend (and grab a drink at the adjacent bar before or afterwards).

Was my BD meal. Ordered Scallops for both of us. Was looking for 2 to 3 nice sized scallops on top of polenta base with carrots and broccoli. What we got was 4 scallops the size of a nickel over polenta with carrots and broccoli so hard that one could not cut them let alone eat them. the meal was very disappointing to say the least. Would be safe to say that my wife and I will probably never go back.

The food was good and service was excellent. But, the dining room itself was kind of boring. We expected something with a vibe suiting the age of the building. That's really the only reason we chose it.
Good ambiance and good service. My wife had the scallops which were over cooked and served over polenta. For $39 the scallops should be better. I had the lamb shank which was moist but the sauce should have been some type red wine reduction instead of a brown gravy. Overall not worth the prices they charged.

We eat here often and have for many years. Their quality of food and drink is highly rated because it is that good! We brought our great nephew and his girlfriend this time. They ordered eggplant parm and assagio gnocchi with chicken breast. We ordered salmon and the gnocchi, as well. All dishes were devoured with no time for much conversation as we were much too involved with eating our food! GREAT! FUN TIME sitting at their front window table watching people walk by in quaint delightful historic Sutter Creek.

Food and drink were absolutely delicious. Lamb shank was falling off the bone tender. Everyone enjoyed their dinner from burgers to eggplant parmesan. One dinner was happy with the gluten free selections available. We would most definitely dine here again when we're in the area.

Friendly staff, nice location. Service was not great. Our server was given a large table and disappeared. He brought us our check and said desserts are coming but they didn't arrive until he came back. Server took the dessert off the bill. Subsequently, there were other challenges. The website says brunch is at 8:30am. When we showed up staff said they weren't ready and front desk said the start time is 9:00. They were supposed to change the time on the website.

We came in from Modesto area to wine taste and rented a place for the weekend for Moms 70th. Made reservations for dinner and couldn't be happier. The drinks. The wine. The food. The dessert. And the customer service was top-notch. I highly recommend anyone driving through, definitely eat here. You won't be disappointed. There was 5 of us and we all ordered something different and we were all very happy.
