Everything at this place was simply amazing. Ordered a lunch special and it came with a soup and roll. Main course was pad thai with my choice of protein (beef). When asked if I wanted the mild or spicy option, I just had to go spicy. The texture and taste of it was wonderful.
I’ll definitely ask to work in the area again, just to have the opportunity to eat here again.
Do pay attention to their hours tho, they open from 11-2pm and reopen at 4pm.

I've been curious about an Asian restaurant that serves Thai food along with pizza. The Asian Experience on Center St. in Taft is the place I'm writing about. The moment you step into the A.E. I wondered if I stepped into a secret lair. The lighting was so dim the candles were squinting. Or maybe, it was dark because the waitstaff were cleaning the overhead hanging lights? After being seated in a booth alongside a wall, I realized the eatery was about to close for the afternoon to prepare for the dinner crowd. I ordered stir-fried veggies with chicken. The waitress seemed eager to rush me out so I didn't order a pizza. After a few bites of delicious well seasoned fresh veggies, I boxed up my meal, yes, I found to-go boxes at a counter and helped myself. I tipped the waitress handsomely and left.

Hiw in the heck is a COOK going to tell you you cant have what you want because she cooked it wrong! I ordered L1 with shrimp and calamari, NO PEPPERS IN IT AS STATED IN THE DESCRIPTION ONKY RUBBER AND HARD, the broccoli was so hard i could not put a fork in it the shrimp WAY OVERCOOKED IT WAS RUBBER! The waitress being only the waitress, came back to say I COULD NOT ORDER A DIFFERENT DISH WHICH WAS MASSMAN CURRY WITH SHRIMP (choice of meat) because she would cook the shrimp the same! IF YOU GO TO A ESTABLISHMENT AND ORDER A STEAK MEDIUM THEY BRING IT TOO RAW IS THE COOK GOING TO TELL YOU YOU CANT HAVE IT COOKED DIFFERENT? Go to Bakersfield where you will be served and cooked for the way you want NOT TOLD NO UOU CANT HAVE SHRIMP BECAUSE THE “ COOK” is going to hive you the same rubber you MUST EAT CGX OR SOMETHING ELSE BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY SHE DOES NIT KNOW HOW TO COOK SHRIMP ITHER THAN RUBBER MADE!

When the-shrimp is rubber and the broccoli is so hard, you can’t put a fork in it and you tell the waitress give you a different dish she sent back to you to tell you you can’t have the meat of your choice, it will be cooked the same nor a different dish with shrimp either!Go somewhere else

Very expensive ($17-$20 for each of our meals). Massaman curry: average. Pad See Ew: Decent. Garlic Delight Chicken: decent. Garlic chicken pizza: almost inedible. Very doughy. Overall we were just shocked that our family of 4 spent over $100 on average food. Granted, we are used to authentic LA Thai food. This was not that. If the portions had been bigger, we likely would have walked away happy. But the portions were not large. I’d say average, which for those prices surprises me. Rice and noodles are cheap- they could have offered more of both. Really feeling the inflation today! Speed of service: good. Wait staff great.

The food was fantastic. Took the express jet to flavor town. I did not anticipated the creative dishes and awesome flavors created by Asian Experience. If ever in Taft, California it's a must that you stop by and try out the coconut chicken soup. One of my favorite restaurants in Cali❤.

Egg rolls were cold. Our food was brought at the same time as our salad and soup so by the time we got to it COLD. I asked the waitress if she could heat it up. The first thing she said to me was it's cold in here if you don't eat your food right away it gets cold. I reminded her everything came at once. Her reply was you want me to microwave it or what? The iced tea was horrible. The soup and L10 were great.
