Tried the tampiqueña, so tasty, meat so tender, shrimp were good, sauce on top was most delicious of its kind, similar to chile relleno sauce. Asada fries, delicious! Enchiladas, beans and rice were all just as delicious. Peach Margarita with chamoy and tajin is one of the best I've had. 2 hr drive from my home. Found it on a day adventure. I will definitely be back to this spot. The service was real too. Friendly and hospitable. The restaurant is a little dark/dim...
Authentic! Just one word to describe this place! Been coming to Taft the last month for a project and I’ve tried a different plate every time. There is definitely a Mexican Chef at this place! I’ve had the tampiquena, fajitas, carne asada, and albondigas. All great must try….and go for the house specials…..there’s a reason it says specialties! Oh and they have beer on tap!
Great service waiter kept checking, making sure everything was good on refills of chips and salsa. He made sure to let us know about the status of our food in the kitchen. Great tasting food, too. I ordered the mocajete Supreme, and the wife got the fajita combo. Both were good , had a lot of flavor, and the price wasn't too bad. I would definitely go back again. Great atmosphere and friendly staff
