Service was clearly understaffed. They were hustling and working hard. Food was something similar to what I used to make myself when I'd come home from middle school. The dishes served didn't have the ingredients listed on the menu.
Great Food from the Granlibakken Chef and Wine from Bella Grace Vineyards! Our room at the main lodge was comfortable.
6 course dinner with wine pairing. The food was amazing, freshest ingredient's which are bought locally. Every dish was super tasty! Looking forward to coming back again
I wanted to give a huge shout out to Lukas who was our waiter on Saturday, August 2nd. We were a part of a wedding celebration and took up about 3 tables. Lukas appeared to be the only waiter and bartender that day and he killed it. He handled, what I would call a very stressful work environment, with poise and grace. I have a feeling since there was a different wedding taking place that day, staff was stretched thin, but Lukas was able to hold his own. Thank you, Lukas for the excellent service.
Now on to the food, I ordered the burger and it was amazing. Everyone at my table seemed to enjoy their food. I would definitely return.

Really good food and nice atmosphere. We sat outside, so it was very pleasant. The staff were very attentive.
We ordered the burrata but the bread was not toasted. Our meals were delicious from schnitzel, trout, panisse and vegetable skillet and culotte steak too. Also, we wished yall served bread and butter. Also an option for a small garden salad too. Overall, we had a great experience.
Our server was the best! He was hustling the whole night and such a great positive attitude. I can't remember his name but I'm sure you could look it up!
The service and personnel were good and friendly and the atmosphere was very mountain lodge like. We were the only ones dining inside so it was quiet. The food however left a bit to be desired. The ribeye was fatty and grisly and the monk fish was not prepared as expected. The mashed potatoes were very tasty and the hamburger was good as were the hand made chips and beans. We probably won't be returning.
Food was pretty good. A few vegetarian options. Nice setting with outdoor seating in the woods. The only problems were the temperature (cold and heaters were mostly off) and the smoke from the grill going directly into the dining area.
We arrived to a fair ly full restaurant with a reservation but they didn't seem to have been prepared for us. We were seated for a long time before the host came over and asked if anybody had helped us. I don't think we were actually assigned to any waitstaff so different people kept coming at various times and asking for our drink order and then our food. Food took forever to come and one dinner came before the other two. My husband had practically finished his meal before my son and I got our meals. No one ever checked in on us or asked if we wanted coffee or dessert, we were just given the check by another staff member. I think the restaurant was clearly understaffed because the wait staff did seem to be running around crazy at other tables.

Always good, The employees are so nice. Very hard working manager keeping it real. Their food is always hot & fresh.
Cozy, great food and drink choices, surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant. Would definitely return.
They charged for take out containers… as guests at the resort and paying customers, I was actually shocked. Let alone $3.25 for three plastic containers? I have never encountered something this insane at a restaurant ever. Food was also overpriced and downright bad. If the restaurant is having to charge for takeout containers, they’ve got bigger problems. Just don’t eat here.

Wonerful. Always offering quality mountain lodge meals at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and helpful every time. It is a warm and cozy room with a fire. What more could you want? Delicious bread bowl clam chowder and elk pot pies. Great appetizers. Nightly specials. Thrre is always someting gor vegetarians. A build your own salad opion is a great feature. The crinkle cut fries need to be removed from the menu. Don't let these fries dissuade you from going there. Just don't order them. Beware, they come with the fish and chips. The fish is good but the crinkle cut fries need upgrading!
Everything about this place reminds me of a European ski chalet - the big open fire place, cozy red leather booth seats, lots of wood detail and touches like a plethora of coat hooks at the entrance for your ski wear.
The ambiance here is spot on - customer service is at its highest (Carlos, Lucas & Sophia - I'm looking at you!), and the vibes here are immaculate. Upon ordering, we were treated to a tasting of the different wine options to make sure we enjoyed what we ordered. Straight into apps - the French onion soup is not to be missed - rich in flavor with a perfect cheese crust on it. Chefs kiss to that.
Also, to pop back to wine - good lord, the prices for bottles here are exceptional (most expensive was $60 or so)
The dinner was delectable - I enjoyed the trout with the curry sauce and rock shrimp & my partner had the brick chicken and enjoyed every last bite.
So the restaurant officially closes at 9 but we were invited by the staff to order an additional bottle of wine and enjoy the fire until we felt we wanted to head back to our unit - such exceptional customer service.
Additionally, there's a piano in the space that folks are invited to play - we were privileged to enjoy an 8 year old patron playing some exceptional music as well as staff coming in late to play a bit of a diddy - such a lovely time
A hidden gem of Tahoe City and I'd highly recommend a visit here!
