The duck and scallops were very good though the portions were modest for a $ 50 main course. Didn't like that they charge you extra for using a credit card. The cost of the food should cover that fee.

One of our favorite Lake Tahoe restaurants. We celebrated my wife's birthday there, and the food and service is amazing. They have gluten free options. The views are wonderful. Make sure to get a table by the window. The portions are not huge, but very flavorful. You also have to book your reservation with a credit card on Open Table, which is not usual.

Absolutely and disappointingly mediocre in every way. This is a restaurant trying desperately to be more than it is. And at prices that warrant a far better experience. I ordered the Duck Duet and had to stop for a burger on the way home. An anemic breast with - literally - a half teaspoon of rillette. None of it impressive. For some reason our server insisted on trying to picking up our dishes while we were still eating. I had to ask for a refill on my iced tea three times before I got someone to pay attention. Really? This can't be one of the best Lake Tahoe has to offer!

Christy Hill is our favorite restaurant in Tahoe City, and we make a point of coming (sometimes more than once) when we are here. Location is great, with a beautiful lake view - inside or outside, the ambience is wonderful. Service is great - while we only come several times a year, the team (including the owner Alex) makes a point of remembering us and saying hello. Food - the menu changes seasonally, and we've always had wonderful food. I am pescatarian, and there are always several choices (including fully vegetarian or vegan options). This past visit, my husband had the steak, my son enjoyed the venison, and I had a lovely halibut dish - all very creatively prepared and flavorful. One note - they serve beer and wine, no hard alcohol. The wine list is very good, and wines are reasonably priced for a restaurant. Highly recommend! During busy times, be sure to make a reservation well in advance!

Christy Hill never disappoints. For 30 years we've been dining here and it just seems to be getting better. Our server Brittany was just perfect and lovely and added to what was already a wonderful dinner. The sunset was unmatched and the food even better. We had the beets and chèvre fondue to start. Light and incredible combination. The hamachi crisp was so fresh and melted in your mouth. And the venison in the chef's special mole sauce was unique and incredible. We'll be back again and again!
It's hard to find a fine dining experience in or around Lake Tahoe. Christy Hill is just that! Besides the amazing lakeside views, the service & food are wonderful! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the lovely hostess that was so friendly and personable. That in itself is hard to find anymore. Usually they barely speak to you. The food was delicious and a different selection of interesting entrees. We chose the Wagyu Hanger steak and Halibut. Both amazing & full of flavor—cooked to perfection! We ended the evening with their passion fruit sorbet & chocolate croissant bread pudding. Both not too sweet & perfect! A bonus is having the Sandbar beach bar below to listen to amazing live music most days! Do yourself a favor and go there as well for small bites and cool cocktails, wine & lakeside music!
