Nice casual restaurant. Friendly service and excellent food. The Ahi appetizer in a cone is a must. The trout was fresh and prepared with a curry sauce ane fresh tomatoes. Th Schnitzel is a favorite. Wine is a deal here with the glass/bottle prices being very reasonable. We ate outside on the deck this time but the inside is cozy. It's great to have a place in Tahoe City with a variety of good meal choices, friendly service, fair prices and where you can also make a reservation!

Food was excellent. Bartender was personable and helpful. Our waiter seemed busy with a larger table ave wasn't very responsive. Pretty atmosphere surrounded in a wooded area.

We loved our experience here, the entire staff worked wonderful together And we're very attentive to us. It really was an enjoyable evening. Both the food and drinks were excellent. Highly recommend.

Amazing place with fantastic food and super friendly service! We were a party of 6 and tried different Entree positions - everything was delicious. We were so excited from the first night that we came the next day also!

Best kept secret on the Lake! The ambience, food and service can't be beat! Done on the outside deck in the summer or inside by the fireplace in the cool temps or winter! Always a great experience.

A hidden gem, especially on busy weekends when everything else in Tahoe City is booked. Food is great, drinks are great, at times service can seem overwhelmed, but all in all a great experience as the staff are more than friendly.

My food was cold cause it was finished before the others at my table. I had to flag someone down just to get water.. the service was not great they need to work on their customer service.

Great find. Food was excellent and more reasonably priced compared to other equivalent Tahoe establishments. The main restaurant is in an old lodge with a big fireplace - reminds me of Tahoe of yesteryear. Food was tasty and proportions were enormous. I ordered the Chicken under a brick and got two meals out of it.

Decided to try the Thursday "barbecue rib" special, and to be honest was a little disappointed, maybe because expectations compared to other experiences there were below the usual. The portions were sizeable, but the sauce was tasty but not what I expected, plus to me the ribs were not as tender as I would have liked. Everything else that came with the ribs was pretty good so no complaints there Also the outdoor dining area became jammed and it seemed there was not enough help to accommodate them. Actually had to look for the waitress to pay the tab as she was overwhelmed. As I said the first dining experience there that was below par.

The food is possibly the best on the Westshore! The outdoor deck ambiance is Tahoe at its best. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. The evening exceeded our expectations!

We were there for Mother's Day Brunch. It was buffet style with a mains food line, an appetizer table and a dessert table. The selection was great and everything we tried was tasty and well presented. We got 1 drink token each and got mimosas. There was live acoustic guitar music that was nice and low enough that we were able to chat without problem. Like pretty much all food in the Tahoe/Truckee area, it was a tad pricey but we enjoyed ourselves and my wife was happy with the choice.

Stayed at the Granlibakken during the transition from winter to summer service. The staff is friendly and accommodating . They provided great service, and wonderful cocktails. The onion soup and the elk pot pie were outstanding. The chicken schnitzel with potato pancakes were delicious and servings very generous.

Have been to the Cedar House Pub many times recently, because the overall experience is very pleasant, and noteworthy. First time I've had the Gumbo special which was outstanding. Looking forward to a repeat visit very soon.

If we plan on dining out we always consider Cedar House first depending on what the specials are. Haven't been disappointed yet as the location is most convenient to us, the dining room is quiet and comfortable, and the food is delicious and plentiful, so much so that we always have some to take home. We will continue to be repeat customers.

Service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere is casual and warm. The food was delicious. We had the grown up Mac and cheese with lobster, the gumbo and the steak. We started with the brussel sprouts which were tasty but did have a little too much oil. Portions were generous. This was our first time at Granlibakken and the pub- we plan on coming again.
