we were staying nearby and stumbled upon the restaurant while walking in the downtown area. Food was decent, but the service was bad. We felt unwelcome, the server gave us a check even before we were done eating and wanted to take our plates while we were still having food. It felt like they wanted us to get out of the place ASAP.

If you’re hungry or tired while walking on sides of the Lake Tahoe this cafe ? on the main road is the best choice. Pizzas ? are similar to what we get at Domino in India. So it is like home food for Indians too. Interiors are done like a comic strip where all kinds of items displayed dramatically. You will feel lively and energized inside in this restaurant

Rosie’s Cafe in Tahoe City offers a delightful dining experience with its fun, eclectic decor and spacious layout. Our party of six visited for a late breakfast around 10 a.m. and were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away, with plenty of seating options available. The restaurant’s large size and ample parking in the back made the visit hassle-free.
The menu has a wide variety of choices, and everyone in our group found something they enjoyed. I opted for the Huevos Rancheros, which were flavorful and satisfying, while my husband thoroughly enjoyed his steak and eggs. The Bloody Marys were also a highlight—perfectly balanced and a great way to start the day. Overall, Rosie’s Cafe is a great spot for a hearty breakfast with a fun atmosphere, and we’ll definitely be back!

Kyle was our waiter, excellent job friendly recommended the chicken fried steak and eggs which were great. My wife had the breakfast sandwich which was amazingly messy and excellent. The hashbrowns crispy outside pillowy inside
I will definitely come back.

Stopped for a quick lunch before driving around to see Lake Tahoe. My husband and I ordered a Combo pizza to share. The pizza came out after 15 minutes and it looked good. It’s very fresh and the crust was crunchy. We both loved it. Staffs were friendly and price reasonable. A nice place for lunch or quick bite.

Classic Lake Tahoe decor on point, TVs for sports and other entertainment, service was excellent. Ordered the cheeseburger on a brioche bun and was hands one of the best burgers I've had. Husband had the chicken fried steak, he recommends it. We will be back!

***Attention to those who have allergies to shellfish and/or fish: All things are fried in the same oil- NOT ALLERGY FRIENDLY***
Honestly, I probably wouldn’t go back because portions are too small for the price. However, the Ruben sandwich that I had for roughly $18 was the best that I have ever had, but the sides salad that came with it (due to my allergies to the fries), was made of iceberg lettuce (while it was fresh) and not very good.
We also ordered an apple pie, a strawberry shortcake, and a cheesecake for dessert. Jack-in-the-Box has better cheesecake for cheaper, the only part of the strawberry shortcake that was eaten was the strawberries and the whip cream, but the apple pie was good. Not worth the $10 for each dessert.
I can’t really assess the service, they were slammed and only had one person in there working when we arrived. As an overall, we were there for Over an hour and a half with a huge wait time for our food and dessert order.
Dietary restrictions: All things are fried in the same oil and they have both calamari and fish on the menu.
Not allergy friendly if you have a fish or shellfish allergy

We we walking around Tahoe and looking for something for our sweet tooth. This place got me when they advertised the strawberry shortcake which was homemade. We ordered from the bar and the food came quickly. The desserts were delicious. Keylime pies seem to be homemade. The strawberry shortcake was delicious. I think the strawberries could’ve been fresher. But overall, the desserts hit the spot. The atmosphere and food overall looked great. Definitely worth a try if you’re in town.

Good portion is extremely small and the wait time is as long as 20 min.
The waiter was so rude that we decided to go elsewhere.
Avoid this place if possible.
