Sugar Pine Cakery & Cafe

Must be under new ownership or have all new staff. Awful food, awful service this morning 6/11/25 at around 8-9. Like inedible. Biscuit was dense, dry and soggy with way too much butter. Baked eggs were hard and rubbery. Scone was burnt on the edges and super dry. Chai was flavorless, mostly hot water. Coffee was cold. Prices were crazy expensive. No tables to sit at. Staff was not friendly and not helpful. I do not recommend!

One of my favorite spots to grab breakfast in tahoe city. My go to is the croissant sandwich. Pastries are next level. Pleasant staff, no frills. Highly recommend.

Healthy fun food off the beaten path just north of Tahoe City and walking distance to a few great beaches.

They got good coffee and hot chocolate! The breakfast burrito was good.

Sugar Pine is one of my all-time favorite bakeries. Anywhere. It's dangerous for me to go in there because everything is absolutely incredible and thoughtfully prepared to be as delicious as possible. The cupcakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls, breads, etc. You really can't go wrong. The staff is friendly and hard working. Sugar Pine rocks.

Sugarpine is a must visit in Tahoe! Every baked good is top-notch, the sandwiches are delicious (I love the pesto cream cheese) and it’s my favorite matcha in town!
