I stopped in here for the first time today and am very happy I did! I am from New York where we always stopped at Katz. I would say they are a tad bit over priced, but we are in Cali, not much to expect lol. They made it up by how well my bagel was made and how much my partner enjoyed their Ruben. I do think the Super Ruben had a great amount of meat on it and was prepared very well ! I think this was a well worth stop, and if we were ever in a sandwich mood again, I would order here !
Hope everyone gets to check them out, they were very friendly and know what they’re doing !

If you’re looking for a nice deli, all-day breakfast, or piled-high sandwiches, this is the place for you! My first visit to Famous Labels Deli was so much fun. I can never pass up trying good matzoh ball soup, so that’s definitely what I ordered.
Famous Labels has been around forever, and in 2016, they moved to their newest location. I love the ambiance and the great pictures on the walls of New York landmarks and caricatures of celebrities.
They bring pickles to the table with every meal, and let me tell you, those pickles were the VIPs of the meal. I also really enjoyed the rye bread that came with my soup.
There are plenty of indoor dining options, restrooms for customers only, and a shared parking lot.
If you check in on Yelp, you get a free coffee or fountain drink (as of August 2024). The service was great, and you can tell the entire staff enjoys working there.

This was a total Gem , I got a very stacked pastrami sandwich on homemade sourdough with Swiss cheese and lite mayo. The meat was so stacked it couldn't fit in my mouth. I got half a sandwich and those famous potato salad delicious.

Yesterday we went to Famous Label's Deli for the first time. We saw it listed as one of the best LA Deli locations. It's difficult to find because it's in a small strip mall and not fronting Ventura Boulevard. There was free parking available very close. It was lunchtime and I expected a crowd like other Deli places have. There was only one Patron in the Restaurant. I was surprised at the cheap and bland appearance of the outside until seeing the inside which was even more disappointing. Tables and chairs don't match and are too close together. Along the right side of the Deli there is a long counter and meat display case that looks to be 60 to 70 years old. The Kitchen is behind this and is visible. Cieling tiles are stained and sagging near the Counter. On a positive note, it looked clean, the table service was good, and the food was good but not remarkable. I thought it was a little overpriced in this presentation style but not badly. It's interesting that it's named Famous Label's Deli because it doesn't look Famous to me.
NOT KOSHER!!
Great chicken parm and service.
Gave me hours old hash browns. Complained and they didn't even offer to replace until I asked. Omelette was ok. Wouldn't be surprised if it was re-heated. Maybe I came at a bad time in the morning but still, bad food and bad experience. Waiter was great. Dirty tables. Felt like a waste of $20.
