We spent $70 waiting for our food, and we were really excited until one of the workers came out and told us not to wait in the parking lot and grab our food. We had only been there for 5 minutes, and it said they closed at 11:30. I guess he planned to close early and he got upset with us for not picking it up within those five minutes. We had placed the order around 9:53 and it said the pickup time was 10:10-10:20. We started to walk in around 10:16 and that's when he had started yelling at us from across the parking lot... The restaurant had the huge glowing open sign in front of it so we were confused why he was so upset with us. We weren't late and he just kept telling us how he was tired and not to sit in the car and wait all day. I don't understand how we should be held accountable when they're website says they close at 11:30 and he accepted our order... We were tired too, we we're up all day today but we don't just go yelling at customers in the parking lot...I even asked him what time they closed and he didn't give us a straight answer. He kept going around it. The food was good, but the customer service matters more. We will not be coming back here again.

SISI and Jorge are great. I love the food. They’re awesome. I would recommend a Persian and Middle Eastern liberty use in all kind of people that want to eat Kabob.
the food tastes like home cooking rather than restaurant food and the staff is kind and helpful.
Delicious middle eastern food in a modest strip mall location. Don’t be fooled by the modest facade — the food was excellent! We had hummus, falafel, and a few different salads, plus a delicious complimentary pickle dish, and all of it was terrific, freshly made and fresh tasting. We’ll definitely go back!!

- If you prefer a quiet, low‑key meal, note that the venue has bar/lounge energy and can be lively—especially during dinner hours.
🎯 Overall verdict
JOEY Woodland Hills is a very good choice for a night out—whether it's a date, celebration, or stylish dinner with a group. You’ll get high‑quality service, a strong environment, and a menu that appeals widely.
If you’re budget‑conscious or seeking a laid‑back hidden gem, this might feel a bit more upscale or lively than you’re after. But for many, it hits the “premium casual” sweet spot.
🔍 Recommendation
- For the best experience: go for an earlier dinner slot (before prime time) if you prefer a calmer setting.
- Pick standout dishes: steaks, sushi shares, or chef’s specials tend to get the best reviews.
- Don’t skip the patio if weather allows—it adds to the ambiance.
- Make a reservation, especially for weekends, to avoid wait time.

We ordered the cheese rolls as an appetizer and they were okay. The waiter brought us a nice little Dish as a gift on the house that had olives, pickles and we think marinated jicama the pita bread that came with our chicken shawarma was thin and perfect for dipping without getting too full. The rice was perfectly seasoned and so was the chicken. The dish of garlic sauce was amazing and so was the hummus. And the salad was nicely seasoned without being oily. We ordered baklava for dessert but weren't super thrilled with that because it was kind of dry and needed a lot more honey and filling it was mostly just phyllo dough rolled up. We sat outside under the lit canopy which was perfect for a summer evening.

Mona’s Kitchen has some solid Lebanese food, and the service was friendly and quick. However, a few dishes could have been better the flavors felt a bit muted compared to what I expected. Still a good spot overall, just not quite amazing.

I truly love this place. Every time have been there I left completely satisfied and satiated :) Best mixed grill I've ever had! The hummus is fresh and tastes like the way its made in the middle east. Not a bad thing to say about Mona's.
