On our way to Bullseye Glass, we just HAD to stop for lunch and our VERY FAVORITE sandwich restaurant, The Carving Board, located at 18607 Ventura Blvd., suite 100, in Tarzana, CA. We had our usual favorite, The Bentley!!!! And as ALWAYS, it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!!! This is, BY FAR, THE BEST sandwich EVER!!!! This place is the best. Sandwiches here are so d good that you can't miss (but I'm addicted to the Bentley). You can tell they dont skimp on the quality of the ingredients.
Champagne vinegarette on the salad is fire and their home made chips will have you hating anything store bought.
And their desserts... good luck resisting them.
And the crew here is awesome. I love eating at places that have a welcoming and friendly team and this place is one of my favorites. Easy going but attentive. Patient even when they know I'm wasting my time looking over the menu in search of another sandwich.
Big shout out to Eddie and the entire Sunday crew. I always leave feeling like I left a restaurant friends of mine own.

Love it! There twist on sandwiches like the “Meatballwich” or my favorite, “Sweet November” can be converted into a salad to their delicious and healthy sides and scrumptious deserts including their gooey and yummy cookies baked to order. Although, I do so miss the cotton candy they made but there machine broke and sadly was never repaired :( It was a classic OG cotton candy machine that was most likely too expensive to fix or it was just its time to retire. Nonetheless, a great eatery that I was turned onto by the food network “Incredible Edible America” & “Guilty Pleasures”

The Carving Board doesn’t serve sandwiches they serve statements. Every item on the menu feels like a dare
 and they back it up.

From teriyaki chicken piled high with crisp veggies to a grilled cheese made with actual spaghetti for bread, this place doesn’t do boring. It does bold. It does stacked. It does unforgettable.

Fries? Crispy. Pasta sides? Creamy. Gravy? Drinkable.

This isn’t comfort food it’s cheat-day genius.

Bottom Line:
Wild concept. Serious flavor. Good size portions. If you’re in Tarzana and want something that hits hard without trying too hard, Carving Board is it.

This place change alot aid last time I been here, so did the menu. The staff at this location are super friendly and nice, the salad seems so plane and boring! Not sure if it is worth the price anymore.

Amazing sandwiches....other gourmet sandwich places pale in comparison. Homemade chips and fries are very good quality. Veggies and ingredients are high quality. Extra points for the spiffy man in the chef uniform taking care of making the sandwiches!

Ps free parking available behind the building, entrance is near the pharmacy building.

Amazing sandwiches and fries. I had the media noche and it was very good. The key with that is the pickles. There were plenty, perfect thickness, and flavor. The sunrise breakfast sandwich also looked good. I also appreciate their Jones soda dispenser. It’s a nice change from the regular brands we see. It’s very good and highly recommended.

Stopped by the Carving Board in Tarzana for lunch and we were thoroughly pleased. The menu had such variety without being overwhelming. We tried the Sweet November and BBQ sandwiches, and everything was fantastic. The flavors and presentation were wonderful, and the staff were great – happy, helpful, and pleasant. Don’t just drive by this place, you gotta stop and try it!

Unnecessary long wait for a pick up order due to the skinny lady not paying attention. No customers, someone comes in orders and gets their order before me.
