The owner and staff are extremely nice. They do their best to welcome you. The food is pricy, but worth the cost. They smoke their meat daily.

Nice, rustic, BBQ place atmosphere with indoor and outdoor dining. They were very friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in. The weather was gorgeous so we chose to sit outside. Lots of seating (both shaded and sunny). They had a good selection of meats and sides. We both got the two meat plates (took plenty home), drinks, and Indian Fry bread to share. They provide trays with multiple sauces. It was all delicious. The fry bread was the perfect topper to the meal. We got it with the powdered sugar, butter, and honey and made a not too sweet dessert. This was our anniversary meal and we enjoyed it very much! We'll definitely come back.

If you’re driving through Tehachapi, this is a must. Delicious food, great ambiance, wonderful service. Lots of charm and character mixed with incredible BBQ is a recipe for great place to stop in and eat. Plenty of seating indoor and outside, big plates, fast service and a waterfall inside! Surprisingly affordable too!

Best barbecue around! I especially love the pulled chicken plate. Great side dishes too. Worth the drive off the main highway if you are passing through!

Delicious pastrami sandwich!! They were out of fries so I ordered the pinto beans which were very tasty. Staff is welcoming and friendly and prices are good for the quality and portions you get!
Company outing for lunch. I ordered brisket and it was cold. Not even warm. I mean literally no heat coming from the meat. I was appalled. For the price you pay, the food is just comical. All of my friends also had been served cold meat. This factoid alone is enough to avoid this place.

The pulled pork and brisket are fantastic. Hot sauce, sweet sauce and mild are on the table. Old school smoker in the back smoker in the back lot features handled wood low and slow smoker. The feature about a dozen local craft beers on tap. Mostly native American staff that is very friendly and knowledgeable of the local history.Vegetarian options: Are you stupid or what? Are you really thinking of going to a barbecue restaurant and ordering the veggie platter?

Going through Tehachapi, you have to stop off at the Red House BBQ. Eclectic and rustic this place is a BINGO. Counter ordering and then the staff delivers to the table. I had a half a rack of ribs, perfect amount for lunch, with delish slaw and side salad. The spicy sauce could've used more sauce for my hot palette. My husband had the very plentiful brisket sandwich with a side o of red cabbage slaw. So good. The hard working owner and staff were delightful.
