For as many restaurants there are in Tehachapi there aren't a lot of good ones worth recommending but Veritas is. We went here for my birthday and enjoyed it very much. The sweet young lady who was our server that night was very friendly, knowledgable and efficient. the food we had was delicious and went perfectly with our drinks. Remember, you aren't going to get a giant plate of food; they serve Tapas or small savory dishes like tacos, small sandwiches or grilled beef on skewers....read full review

My friends and I were looking for a place to eat after visiting the California Poppy Reserve. My friend came across this place on yelp, so we thought we would give it a try. We walked in and were not greeted right away, but after less than 5 minutes a server came out and told us we could sit anywhere we wanted. The live music added to the great atmosphere. A mellow atmosphere. At the bar seating, as well as table indoor an outdoor seating. A very appealing menu with a few choices. They have days with with musical entertainment. Also special events for some holidays. Always a pleasure to visit for a meal or a quick drink
