For as many restaurants there are in Tehachapi there aren't a lot of good ones worth recommending but Veritas is. We went here for my birthday and enjoyed it very much. The sweet young lady who was our server that night was very friendly, knowledgable and efficient. the food we had was delicious and went perfectly with our drinks. Remember, you aren't going to get a giant plate of food; they serve Tapas or small savory dishes like tacos, small sandwiches or grilled beef on skewers. Order a couple of different items to share with your group, order some wine or beer and you won't be disappointed.

My friends and I were looking for a place to eat after visiting the California Poppy Reserve. My friend came across this place on yelp, so we thought we would give it a try. We walked in and were not greeted right away, but after less than 5 minutes a server came out and told us we could sit anywhere we wanted. The live music added to the great atmosphere. My friends ordered wine, there were good options to choose from. I am not a wine drinker so I ordered a coca- cola. There are other non alcoholic beverages if you prefer. We ordered a few items to try out. The hummus plate, Greek chicken salad, tacos, and a flat bread avocado pizza. We also left some room for their homemade ice cream, which was DELICIOUS! Everything was fresh and their dressing and hummus were made in house, which was really nice. Servers were great and attentive! This is a cute little place to hang out with friends or a nice date night. If you're in the area go and check it out!

A mellow atmosphere. At the bar seating, as well as table indoor an outdoor seating. A very appealing menu with a few choices. They have days with with musical entertainment. Also special events for some holidays. Always a pleasure to visit for a meal or a quick drink

We had a really nice time and the service was excellent. The Tapas were really good and the recommended wine was worth the tip from the server. I do have a tendency to micro review and this is by no means a reason to not go to Veritas. If you want to be considered a higher end Tapas Bar, have a dress code or uniform for your staff. When dining at an establishment like this, I expect it to feel a little more high end than what our experience was.

For Date Night we decided to go to Veritas. We walked in on a busy Saturday night, apparently it was wine club night. We were greeted by their friendly staff that was willing to accommodate us without a reservation. We decided to try the wine tasting and food pairing, it was a unique and fun experience in our Lil town. The selections were very thoughtfully selected and paired, we were so impressed we decided to join the club! Now once a month, we will be here enjoying the wine, the food, the fun staff, romantic ambiance and did I mention they have live music on Saturday night?

Went here on Friday night for date night and our waitress was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The kabobs, mac and cheese, and tuna tartare. Would go back again for another date night.

I was visiting Tehachapi for work and loved this place. The portobello mushrooms and flat bread were amazing. I recommend the 1797 Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet. The service is awesome and the owner is a great guy.

Just had an amazing time here, we stop by every chance we get for the last 5 years or so. It just gets better and better !!! Owners & staff are very attentive & friendly. The kitchen is always a delicious artisan treat. The wine & beer selection has something for everyone . GO ENJOY ASAP!!! Places like this don't come around often...

We normally go Fridays for the board and bottle special which at some point you must try, you will never regret it! ? wine selection is amazing, and their rotating wines are perfect and pair beautifullywith their tapas and food!

We come through here every time we go out of town from Three Rivers and make a point to stop by have wine and dinner. Great place to eat have a glass of wine and relax. Definitely place to enjoy!

This is the best date spot in Tehachapi! The music was phenomenal by Michael Gabriel. The food was fantastic- we had tacos and tri tip sliders. We enjoyed the ambiance and the wine and each other . Thanks for a memorable night and we will be back!
