The only thing good there was Tisha, a server, who was not mine.
I paid $28, for a steak dinner, salad, baked potato, and garlic bread.
The garlic bread and salad were good. The potato was not done, the mixed vegetables were mushy and the steak, which I ordered RARE, (I actually told my server, 'I want the steak still mooing'), was well done.
My server, NEVER came to ask about the meal.
Took no photos. Phone was barely charges.
I might DO NOT recommend this place.

I love this place. I used to come a lot when I lived in Bakersfield, but this place came across my mind recently. I just wanted to write an honest review. The food is usually amazing, so is the service. I love Ivan, he's the best. My mom and him went to high school with him so that's cool, but Ivan is great so is this restaurant.

Okay, I was honestly surprised at how good the food was at this place. Down home, good food. I had the chili chese fries topped with Carnitas. Mouth water! Our server was so sweet! I really enjoyed myself. I will visit again!

I hadn't been here since 2015. Came up for work and stayed with my brother in law Dave Fox. Went to Village Grill at least once a week. Love the food, great taste immense variety of food. My favorite sirloin steak 🥩🥩🥩 MW, seasoned or regular fries. Loved the service always on top of things. Thank you Village Grill staff for your hospitality.....will try to be back soon

The waitress/server was very attentive and pleasant and the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. The coffee was good. I never had to wait to have my cup refilled. I ordered the California omelette and a biscuit. They arrived quickly. The omelet was great. The biscuit was a bit too soft for my liking but maybe others like it that way.

On our way back from Arizona to California and we were looking for something to eat for our group of 6. We accidentally stumble across this restaurant, looked at the menu which had a variety of options, and decided to sit down and order. Best decision and best food from our 5 day trip. Great food, great service, quick service, big portions, great pricing, and they offered us samples. Thank you Ivan and staff.
