Mount Palomar Winery

10/10 service from Mannix, always a pleasure to see that he's working. There's great service and then there are great servers. Always so attentive and friendly. Bad service is something that will turn me away from a business, so I'll be going here as long as the good vibes keep up!

Gorgeous Venue, But Severely Mismanaged
Mount Palomar Winery may look beautiful, but the experience was anything but. I would strongly advise against booking this venue unless you're prepared to run your own wedding.
From the start, communication was disorganized and unreliable. The coordinator repeatedly failed to answer basic questions, sent us information meant for another couple, and caused unnecessary stress in the weeks leading up to the event. This is unacceptable for any professional wedding venue.
At the rehearsal, our own family members had to step in and coordinate due to the complete lack of direction. On the wedding day, the assigned coordinator was frequently missing, could not follow a simple timeline, and left multiple vendors frustrated with her unresponsiveness.
There was a clear lack of professionalism, accountability, and care for what is supposed to be one of the most important days of a couple’s life. Beautiful views do not make up for poor execution. We expected better, and others should too.

Sons wedding was fantastic! Very friendly staff at winery too.

We stopped in here for a wine tasting while driving from LA to San Diego. It was absolutely amazing! The grounds are beautiful. The wine tasting was awesome- we got traded off between bartenders as they left for breaks. Both were awesome and helped us picked wines based on our tastes and preferences, not just random ones. The wines were all great and we got to try a bunch of new types.

What a disappointment! I used to be a wine club member here. The place is now owned by a corporation. We asked for tastes of sherry and port. I was given red wine and it was not port! The sherry was not as good as before. The cost of the port and sherry $22 and $29 for a very small serving of each, and again the port was a red table wine. The server in the cava was not knowledgeable about wine. You will have much better luck down the road with Callaway or Halter Ranch. Won't be back.

My wife and I got married here on 11/07/2018. It was the most beautiful place to do it! Then unfortunately my wife passed away so I decided to have her Celebration of Life where we said I do. Though the day was hard for me, Jessica and the rest of the staff made sure that her send off was even more beautiful! Thank you very much for that! Mount Palomar winery you will hold a special place in my heart always!

Burgers, sandwiches, salad all good for lunch. Spinach and artichoke dip mediocre - too soupy. Service could have been more attentive. Excellent view!

Great winery and great wine, we tried the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon and it was excellent!
We had an opportunity to meet Master Cellar Mr Martin and he and the winery Host made us feel special and made our visit unforgettable!

Beautiful surroundings. Great variety of quality wine both red and white. Moderately priced, good value for money. Definitely worth a visit.

The view by the lake was beautiful. This winery has great tasting wines and beautiful decor to compliment them. I was expecting a little more from the food but it could be that I showed up on a Sunday which was really slow.

Made reservation for 3 on June 28. They sat us down as we got there and checked in. No service came for about 35 mins. The bigger family that came after us even got their order placed before us. Went up to the bar and asked how long until a waiter/waitress come to take our order. They said that they are busy catering to an event outside. Which is fine, but if there is an event, shouldn't they have a designated staff focused on that while the others on dine in guests? Ended up leaving after 40 mins with just waters on our table.

Beautiful winery with a really great event space. Super friendly staff, can't wait to be back!

We had our wedding here and it could not have been better! Jessica went above and beyond to make the day so special for us and was intentional in understanding what we wanted and how to make it happen. All the staff were phenomenal and attentive. We are so thankful that we chose this venue!

This was our first time at this winery . We had dinner for my mom's birthday and it was amazing! We sat by the window with a beautiful view of the lake. Our server was Erik he was so helpful and so kind. Our food was delicious. Afterwards we dance all night with the live music they had , every Friday they have live music and dancing . It was so much fun!

Very Disappointed with the service. We arrived early and were seated within 10 Min. Then after being sat through out the meal we never had a designated server. We would have to bother other servers to get our drinks, silverware, and we waited at least 15 min after food was finished to get the check dropped off... it was shocking and we do not plan on coming back.
