Bella Vista Winery at Cilurzo Vineyards

Excellent service and views. They are growing. No rest. Yet but I’m sure will be Amazon!

We have lived in Temecula for over 20 years. We've seen Wine Country grow, modernize, and change. Most of it is amazing for our area and economy. However, when it comes to visiting wineries, many of the larger properties fall short of the quintessential experience. And though we have a few favorite area wineries, Bella Vista is the shining star among many!

Forget stuffy, pretentious, long lines and expensive tastings. Visit Bella Vista for their lovely wines, truly friendly tasting room staff, and absolutely GORGEOUS views! This is what Temecula Wine Country is supposed to be! This winery has been around a long time (I think the oldest in town!) but the affordability is still there. New ownership is bringing in some modern touches, like the Cilurzo Speakeasy, while leaving the small-town familiar feel that I think is so important to our city.

This winery is where we take friends visiting Temecula for the first time... we eat a lovely charcuterie lunch overlooking the lake and views, while sipping our latest favorite BV vino. I'm also a huge fan of their fresh sangrias!

My hubs and I also recently attended their Valentine Dinner in the Cilurzo, where we enjoyed an absolutely delicious 4 course dinner with a bottle of wine and live piano music. We were welcomed and treated like family....precisely why Bella Vista is our absolute favorite winery.

Beautiful property and they are going to improve it. Amazing view of the winery valley. Matt, was knowledgeable and a delight to chat with. We enjoyed the reds and will be back Spring 2026 to enjoy the whites.

was really looking forward to visiting since this winery has such great reviews, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing.
Service was extremely slow from the start. The place was crowded, but there were only two servers working the tasting area, which made it nearly impossible to enjoy the experience. We waited about 20 minutes just to receive our second tasting, and no one checked in or acknowledged the wait.
At that pace, it felt like we would have been there for hours just to complete the full 6-wine tasting. There was also no apology or sense of urgency from staff, which made it even more frustrating.
I ended up asking for a full glass instead just so we could move things along and leave. Sadly, we didn’t even get to fully enjoy the tasting we came for.
Hoping this was just an off day, but based on this visit, service definitely needs improvement — especially when it’s busy.

They were not ready for a Saturday crowd, very disappointed it took 20 minutes to get a tasting, can't have only 2 servers in tasting room. Ruined experience.

We had such a great time at Bella Vista! The wines were great, the service was fantastic and the grounds were beautiful! We will definitely be back!

Couldn't write a better review about this place if I tried. Matt in particular was so accomodating all evening, is very passionate about his wine, and the premises are beautiful, particularly at sunset. Fully recommend going if passing through Temecula.

Matt and Janet are both amazing. Their personalities and knowledge are beyond amazing. It’s always a pleasure to be in their presence.

We heard mixed reviews about this but our experience was awesome. Matt who was working in the tasting room that day was super friendly, but not overly, and super helpful. His recommendation of a wine that we weren’t going to try we loved and ended up buying 2 bottles. They have an awesome outdoor seating area with a nice view. Lived the wines! Definitely would come back!

Bella Vista is now a sister winery to Somerset. They are making great changes. Be sure to see The Speak Easy. Matt in the tasting room is the best, tell him Mike and Mary Sent you in and see his reaction. Go to Bella Vista you won't be disappointed

Beautiful winery with amazing wines. Incredible views with more coming soon we heard! Janet made us feel incredibly welcome and we very much enjoyed our time here!
