The food is great. Set up "chipotle style". Choose your rice, protein, sauce, and toppings. Been here several times, but everytime I come in I've been told something different. First time it was 2 scoops of protein, second time was 3 scoops, 4th time back to 2 scoops, and now the 5th time I've come in they decided to mix the sauces in with the proteins. I've always liked the jackfruit, potatoes, and house sauce. Now they decided to mix whatever sauces they felt like into the proteins. The coconut curry is in with the jackfruit....which I do not want. I understand it's a new business and they're probably working out some kinks, but I'm not a fan of them deciding which sauce we get. There were people in front and behind me that didn't seem happy with managements decision to not let you decide the sauce that you want either. Luckily the employees were very nice and understanding and were able to at least get me the sauce that I wanted.

Place is delicious and I appreciate the various vegan options. However, I've downgraded the stars because they've taken away the ability to get curry sauce ala Carte. It's now pre-mixed with the protein/veggies. Hopefully they change that back because their curry bowls are drier now. Update: owner reached out to let me know they are offering the sauces again. Well done responding to feedback quickly

Pretty bummed the owner changed the menu. We used to enjoy it especially for being vegan. They changed the menu to where everything is mixed with meats or cheese in curry sauce. Unhappy now because for vegans the items have little to no sauce at all so now if you do a bowl it's just rice and dry veggies or potatoes. They need to bring the sauces back so you can choice what you want. My family and I will not be eating here anymore until they figure things out.

My first time enjoying this restaurant and am glad I did! The environment was warm and the food was good. I'm familiar with Indian food and this place is great. I will definitely be back, but remember to take a picture of my meal.

This is basically a Indian version of Chipotle, with a TON of vegan options! Great customer service. The menu was very easy to read and not overwhelming at all. I got jackfruit tacos on naan bread witty coconut curry sauce. It was a soooo delicious, and affordable. I can't wait to go back and try more combinations.

The first time I had Indian food was at the House of Curries in Berkeley in 2007 while visiting a friend. After that, I searched San Diego county for one that was as good and I got pretty close with Delhi Kitchen in Carmel Mountain Ranch. I just moved to Temecula and got excited when I saw 3 Indian restaurants. This one happened to be closest to my house so I tried it out. The food did have a good taste, but this was not what I consider "authentic". First, the guy who got my food together pulled the naan out of a plastic wrapper and warmed it up on a press. Naan is supposed to be made fresh in a tandoori oven. Second, the consistency of the tikka masala was very different then the other places; this was more of a thick red paste (?), whereas with the other two places I visited, it was creamy yellowish/orangish curry, and is usually served in a bowl with the chicken inside it, not drizzled over the top of chicken like salsa. Again, the taste was ok, and perhaps I should have expected something different with the "fusion" reputation and Chipotle-style set up, but I will be checking out the other two restaurants in Temecula moving forward; this place just kind of bummed me out.

This place used to be Freebirds, and the concept is pretty much exactly the same, except it's Indian food instead of mexican. The food is always fresh and always tasty. They have either bowls or wraps, but they also try new things. One time they were making burritos with their ingredients, with French fries included inside. Excellent

Our first time eating here. I can't believe we didn't discover this restaurant much sooner. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They explained everything to us as this was our first time. The food was amazing. I normally don't eat as much as I did today but I couldn't stop myself because it was so amazingly delicious. We will definitely be returning!

Really good naan tacos! I made mine with chicken and coconut curry sauce. Grilled onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, cilantro. Came with side of yummy rice and a free (!) ginger lemonade since it was Thirsty Thursday. :-) Will be back!

Imagine you're looking for some good dining in Temecula. But you're run dry of typical burger joints and Americanized Mexican cuisine. You need new flavors to explode in your mouth. Then BOOM. There it is. From the 4 way intersection that is Winchester and Margarita You spot the words "Curry Leaf" lighting up a building where the ghost of Freebirds used to be. This place more than exceeded my expectations of unique dining with cultural Indian flavors. The tikka curry bowl with cumin rice and a side of garlic Naan bread was the game changing influence my appetite needed in a middle class white neighborhood. You could SMELL the culture upon walking in and being greeted by a ready staff. With the 5 star rewards program you can bet your entire life savings that I will become a regular to this jewel of a restaurant.

Indian food for the American palate done well and with a smile. I cook a lot of Indian food at home. Their seasoning in their bowls and wraps are a perfect balance for the American palate. Get the masala pops and be wowed by a fun little bite of flavor! Or get some gulab jamun for a "honeyed donut". I love how they serve it with ice cream, which my girlfriend said it would taste great in that way. My lamb burrito was delicious. I would have preferred lamb roll in paratha, but they didn't have paratha (I have a feeling it doesn't get ordered often). All my friends raved about the food! I was a tad disappointed in the ras malai, which had a strange texture that was different than the near cheesecake-like paneer that I'm used to. Plus the milk was lacking color: a normal golden from saffron was missing although it tasted beautifully of cardamom. TDLR: A great spot for a quick Indian fix with friends that won't overwhelm you with options and would accommodate a noob to Indian cuisine. The Indian Chipotle.

The food is absolutely delicious and the flavors are explosive upon my taste buds. Very easy to order homemade food and with a friendly staff. The owner even came out and talked to about his rice pudding that is a must try!
