Would be a five if based solely on food. This is (was) our Wednesday night post band practice hang but last week chairs stacked and kitchen was closed at 8:20 with a posted closing time of 9 pm. Now, this week we ordered and sat down. The girl had a bad attitude as if she was put out that we came in at 8:20. The horror she would have to work till 9. As soon as we sat she started stacking chairs and cleaning up. This made us very uncomfortable. Then one of us asked for another dog at 8:50. She said we are closed at 9. It was 8:50! If you are gonna post a 9 pm close then close at 9. Or post 8 pm if that is your reality. Don't be lame. We are gonna pick a new spot from now on. It sure if the owner even knows or condones this but Such a shame.

It was a quick stop on our way to Carlsbad from Palm Springs. I got the slider dogs-great way to try 3 different hot dogs, husband got the special- 2 chili dogs and a drink. It was a fun and delicious lunch- very friendly.

after a long road trip and lots of hiking we were so hungry. fried mac and cheese a must have!!! burgers are out standing tots are great, and the dogs are the best. But the service could not get any better. they were out of mac and cheese, but they made another batch just for us. AMAZING

No words for how good this local spot is. Susie our bartender/host/waitress was greeting people by first names. We never waited for a drink or food. She was extremely pleasant! One cool and he was cookin! All of our food was so fast and fresh and kitchen is completely open from all angles to see. The food was delicious we got the brat bacon wraps AAHHMAZING!!!! We also got the mini hot dog sliders and we tried 5 different mini hot dog styles all were sooo good. Cold beer always kept our glasses full! Buns are soft and warm chili was fresh great service great food we are kicking ourselves in the butt because we hadn't come here sooner!

Where do I begin, I came here way back when it was the Hot dog shoppe, the service and food were fantastic! Devil Dogs gourmet hot dogs aa huge disappointment. They were not busy AT ALL but still managed to mix up our order of 2 hotdogs and fries with another tables, so I literally sat there and watched someone else eat my food... and my wife is eating food that was initially delivered to another table... I don't know where to begin on how horrible the experience was. They did offer me a $10 gift card... I should have taken a hint when I saw the girl whom was working the register was sitting in the middle of the restaurant talking to customers while drinking (from what I saw) her second beer. Lots of locals and I'm sure they get treated perfectly. If your not a local, get ready to not get the treatment you expect... John Taffer would have a field day in this place. Thanks!!
I love Devil Dogs! Military discounts for veterans and active duty. Good food and good people. If you go, you have to try the Bacon Brat bites or Jalapeno hot-tots.

I definitely recommend the Mac & Cheese which I had...very cheesy if you love cheese. The Fiesta Chicken Dog was tasty...mushrooms & jalapeños added to the taste...Thank you Jill for your superb waiting skills
