Our group chose this place based on reviews and we were so excited to try it! Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. The food was mediocre. We ordered the fried avocado and queso dip for appetizers. The fried avocado tasted like they were just prepared by the churros as the fried part tasted like cinnamon. We didn't really have a chance to eat the queso while it was hot. The service was that slow. Two people ordered the fajitas and said that it was good (shrimp/beef), one person ordered enchilads a la carte and she advised it was ok. I ordered two tacos a la carte (asada/carnitas) and they weren't really flavorful. The server seemed clueless on a few questions we had and was slow at refilling drinks, chips etc. Between two of us, we had called several times the night before and right before our reservation to check on a corkage fee. NOBODY ANSWERED THE PHONES. I also asked why nobody answers the phone and the response was, oh the phones behind the bar, they probably can't hear it. I am glad that I tried the restaurant but have no urge to give it a try. They need to do better.

Had the best experience yesterday! Jose was our server and he was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the carne fajitas and the steak was juicy and tender and everything was delicious. The white queso was perfectly delicious! Can’t wait to go back!!

First time at this restaurant and it was great. The food was very authentic and reminded me of when I have traveled to Mexico City.
I was there on a Monday, so it was not busy. The atmosphere is great and I would recommend to anyone who likes Mexican food.

First time we went we really enjoyed the 3 vegan options they offer and drinks are amazing. The second time they were out of beans and the third time they were out of mushrooms! You would think for a Mexican restaurant “beans” would never run out! They really need to work on their vegan options.

Stopped by last night, the place was packed so we expected a wait but not like what we experienced. It took about 20 mins to get a drink from the bar. We then waited an hour to get our queso appetizer. Our server never came to check on us, offer refills or an update on our food. There was a party who started to become upset and and began raising their voice at a staff member because they had been there for 2 1/2 hours and still hadn't received their food. At this point we were also getting inpatient. The restaurant was already closed and practically empty yet we were still waiting. Eventually I had to flag down another server and asked if we could just pay for what we received and to forget about the rest of the food. She apologized and checked on our food , turned out our food was about to be ready, we asked for it to go. She was nice enough to take a meal off. Well when we got home my husband didn't even get his rice and beans that were supposed to come with his food. Not to mention for how much they were charging per dish the portions were extremely small. I don't blame the servers I understand they have no control of how the kitchen is running. But we definitely wont be coming back.
We had always wanted to come here, so we finally did. Unfortunately, the experience was terrible. Our server was incredibly slow and rude. We had to ask for everything, and even then, we still didn’t get what we needed. We ended up asking the kitchen staff directly. The food wasn’t good either. The place itself was cute, but overall, we won’t be coming back.

We were well greeted and hosted to our table which they asked if it was to our satisfaction which it was. The place made you feel like you had traveled to a different country. The food was Mexican style with a twist. To celebrate my birthday my family arranged it so I could go out of and enjoy ourselves and ordered me some margaritas and had to try the cantatio alcoholic drink too. All were great we could've had more but we couldn't get it fast enough because it was getting late.

For a restaurant that has had not one, but two chances to prove itself, Espadin has fallen way short of expectations. The “vegetarian/vegan” options center around the fact that they offer a vegan black bean side on their menu, but the night I went to eat there, they had run out of black beans……really? I asked them what else they could suggest in the way of food for vegetarians like nachos or something, but their rice is cooked with chicken stock, the refried beans have lard in them and I’m suspect that even their tortillas are not vegetarian friendly. Not going to risk this place again.
