Drove over to have a nice BBQ dinner while on vacation, and they were closed for staff training,,

Bad business practices and bad people that own it. Disappointing food but not surprising. Got rid of the karaoke and no more ambiance or reason to go.

The food and service here are outstanding. They go out of their way to make sure you have a good experience and have done semi custom orders for my daughter more than once. My low rating is due to them being g closed with no notice or sign the last two times we tried to go. Door was just locked during normal business hours, nothing to indicate why or when they'd reopen. Won't be going back unfortunately until someone tells me they're more consistent with their hours, just not worth the drive to be disappointed. They could at least put a sign out for the confused people trying to eat there.

Would be cool if they updated their hours so you don't drive over just to find out they're actually not open even though it says they're open on Google and yelp. No hours posted on the storefront either. Had to call the phone number to hear that they were closed for spring break?

Shows online that it open at 11:00 a.m. today... I came by at 12:15 pm, doors were locked but the lights and TV was on. Tried calling and no one picked up...A little frustrating because I live 30 minutes away. I literally only left the house to come here and try this place. I've been watching it for a while through ads that were mailed to my home. I don't think I'll give it another shot as I don't want to drive 30 minutes to be ghosted again.

Not much of a choice, and food was mediocre, the place has changed hands to many times

Reviews seemed mix but idk what the hell people have to complain about here. This place is legit! Cool atmosphere with a sports bars connected next door. Food was excellent and the sauces were all really good. Excellent bbq, and if you’re just wanting some fries and a couple beers this is the spot for you. Definitely get the ranch and fry sauce.

Good food, good music, good people. Shout out to the bartender wes, appreciate the good talk and setting the right vibe with the music. Youve got family here

I had such an amazing time this afternoon at HoBo's BBQ!!!! Surprisingly, I had never heard of them before. Me and my daughter were warmly greeted and instantly felt at home. After using the restroom, Josh (The Chef) noticed that me and my daughter were patiently waiting (looking for a menu) and very excited to experience what Hobo's had to offer. While the server/bartender (Morgan) was happily attending to new guests at her bar Josh happily attended to mine and my daughter's needs. He took it upon himself to walked me through their menu and gave me some insight on the where, why's and who started this great place. Morgan quickly joined him after taking care of her existing guest. The two of them were absolutely wonderful. Very friendly, informative, helpful and accommodating. We ended up ordering their favorites! 1 two item combo with Burt Ends (Morgan's favorite) & the Cajun Sausage (Josh's) favorite. For my sides I had their amazing coleslaw and House made Pickles. Morgan is an excellent bartender & Josh a wonderful chef! Two great people! They went above and beyond to give me and my daughter the best experience possible. Thank you HoBo's BBQ & staff for making our day! We appreciate you and promise to be back

This place is pretty good. Walked in and they were obviously playing Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on the TVs they had. The servers were very nice upon entering and also throughout the entire visit. Their food itself wasn't anything to write home about. What I ordered wasn't necessarily bad, just nothing special.

My BBQ lasagna was good but not well heated throughout. Our server was very good. The ambiance was good and we were shown a back room that can be booked for a party.

I wanted to love it but.. As 95% of the people who go here, I saw it on Diners Drive-Ins, and Dives. I've had good success with going to restaurants that have been on DDD, with only one occasion, now two. We've been here twice in the last 2 years. Both times have been about the same. Poor service and underwhelming food. I will comment on my first visit here briefly as it was years ago. But I do remember portions were tiny, tri tip (tri tip sandwich) was dry, and was very expensive. Family from out of town wanted to go here so we obliged. Walked in and only a few tables full, no wait staff or host insight. Was told some of their most popular items were out. Food came and I went with the Spicy Pig (pulled pork and Cajun sausage sandwich). Pulled pork was fatty, tons of just chunks of fat throughout. Had a weird taste to the pork. The Cajun sausage was good. The bottom bun was soggy, falling apart soggy, as soon as I picked it up. This sandwich was about the size of a standard burger you would get somewhere and was also $22. Way too much. Everyone else at the table was underwhelmed. Tri tip was chewy, chicken was dry, "Texas toast" just was toast. Hate to really slam a small business but second time, same result. I won't go back here, and wouldn't suggest it to anyone I knew. And maybe the weirdest part.. they have a massage table in the back by the bar. Not sure what that is about.

Since they recently are under this new owner who’s says he’s 30 year experienced managing restaurants, I can see a big change! Mr Thomas, thanks for being amazing with my pet and definitely, you and your workers make this place very friendly for everyone. I do like to spend time at the bar and ask for my bbq lasagna! Is it Guy Fieri recipe really?

This is a sad excuse for a barbecue restaurant. The meats are loaded with spices and do not look like they were smoked in a traditional Texas style long and low temperature way. Ribs were tough and small. Barbecue beans are small beans that taste life they opened a can. Service - slow is a kind description. If you want to try some real quality barbecue Austin Texas style/ try Calhoun's Texas Barbecue on Main Street in Murietta California. Also Hobo's is expensive- $18 for three small ribs and a small bowl of beans and another with coarse coleslaw. I have tried this place around once a year and I vowed never again and since it is near my house I forget and try it one more time. A mistake. Lucille's in the Temecula Mall next to Edwards theatre is actually much better overall. I noticed the place was nearly empty on a Wednesday early evening and with barbecue the meats need to be freshly smoked not cooked in an electric oven.
