My boyfriend and I were looking to have a date night with a nice atmosphere so of course we headed down to old town Temecula. We were unsure of what we wanted to eat but realized it was taco Tuesday so we decided to look for Mexican food and Kalaveras was the first place to pop up so we gave it a try. 1. Our server Abraham was the sweetest guy. He was probably the best server we have ever experienced if I'm being honest. 2. The outside seating is great! Since you are on the second floor, you have a nice view of the mountains and a view of old town with a nice breeze. 3. Price is very affordable, the tacos on taco Tuesday are $1.99. They have so many options and are so delicious. Overall our experience here was great and our server was even better. Thank you, we will be returning.

Bunch of loud, rude, foul mouthed customers. People drink and screaming obscenities. Waited 1.5 hours to get in. Never again. Can’t even talk with each other. Music blasting . Texted with each other for communication. Definitely not coming back. Not for me.

Restaurant was clean so that was good! Drinks were tasty and we will be back only for the drinks! For the food, we will bypass it next time if we even come back. Do not get the fajitas for dinner. The chicken breast was maybe a 1/4 pc of the breast. Shared with a friend and needless to say it was not enough for two people. The carne asada fajitas were dry. As for the service it could be better. Asked for a napkins from our waitress she forgot about it. We had to ask another waiter he brought it right away. Tried to flag down our waitress to pay and she flew by us without a pause. Three of us were politely waving her down so we can pay. So yea. Was our first and last visit unless we want a good margarita.
Great food and God dr8nks

Went for my friends birthday. It was a Thursday night with 1 other couple for most of the time we were there and it was EXTREMELY HOT like the air wasn’t even on?? First red flag was no chips or salsa offered you would think like most Mexican restaurants you get that but nope! Second the menu was very underwhelming-this seems like “new age” Mexican food but definitely not good. Plates don’t all come with rice and beans, flavorless barbacoa and fajitas were a joke. Don’t go here, Guadalajara’s is down the street and much cheaper!

This location is on the second floor. There is an elevator. The decor is pretty cool. There's a pretty good sized bar with lots of alcohol options. The interior seating is well spaced so you don't feel cramped. There is balcony seating too. We were a party of 10 and they could accommodate us easily. The food was super tasty. The only negative was that a couple of items were ordered took longer than you would expect. But the manager took care of it right away and made it right. I would definitely don't here again.

My wife and I stopped in today for dinner and the staff was supper friendly and seated us right away. Our server Moona was saw super cool and attentive. The complimentary chips and salsa are delicious and if you like good spicy ask for the habanero salsa as well. My wife ordered the carne asada plate and I had the chicken fajitas. All the food was really good with minimal wait time. The manager Jesse is very nice and he even hooked us up with complimentary guacamole which was delicious, I really liked the queso fresco that came on top. Highly recommend you check out Kalaveras next time you want some good Mexican food in The Temecula valley.
