Food tastes like charcoal. Was hoping to find something closer to home, but it seems again Michi tacos for the win.

I love Asian fried rice and chaufa is the Peruvian take on Chinese fried rice. The main ingredients are pretty much the same. but the seasoning / sauce is very distinct which gives the dish its delicious flavor. The chaufa at La Choza also includes a small container of extra sauce. Also, the lady who greets and takes orders is one of the nicest people ever! ??️ ??

This place serves both Peruvian and Mexican dishes, an interesting combination. We had the Al pastor and carne asada tacos and the Peruvian chicken with rice. They were all fine, but not special. The staff was friendly and helpful.Parking: Easy to find a space here.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes

Prices online are off, you do have to order at the counter but they bring your food to the table. The lady that helped us on the register was very kind and polite and very helpful. We didn't have to wait to long for the food. When we went it looks like there is 1 cook. It smelled delicious inside the restaurant!!! I ordered bistek a la poured. And when I got my plate I was blown of the quality of good that was given. Everything was so damn delicious. I loved the plantains!!!! The steak was seasond well and yummy. The rice, the was was excellent in flavor for being white rice. My BF got the ceviche mixto and he was a little bummed out that it was an appetizer. But when that plate came out it was a good amount for it being an appetizer. When he finished it he was content, he wasn't trying to be in a good coma. It doesn't come with chips or tostadas, but us being Mexican that's what we are used to. I did ask for chips and the cook explained that that's how they eat it (which is reasonable, different culture different ways of eatjng foods). They took some for him. I told my parents about the place and now they are going to check it out. The green salsa that they handed out, it reminds me of creamy cilantro dressing (which I love) but it had a different texture and it had a kick to it. I had to take the left over home. It was soon good. I'm loosing weight and on a diet and I think I'm going to have to sneak over there to get some of the food.I believe the older gentleman is the owner and he would come to the table here and there to ask how the food was. I did see him help and serve food.Great service and exceptionally great food. Definitely get your moneys worth and taste buds tickled.

Hidden gem tucked away in the back kf the shopping center. Great food and even better customer service. First time there (and not the last), and they were very nice and welcoming.

99% of their dishes are not peruvian, they are Mexican. I don't understand why they are calling it "peruvian food". Tge only peruvian items are not the best, so disappointing.

Love the lomo saltado! We were delighted to hear there was a Peruvian place in our city. Happy to report the chauffa is amazing as well as the ceviche! Keep it up!

Outstanding food! Manager was so helpful navigating me through the menu. My first time eating here and trying this type of cuisine. Big plate so be ready to eat or share it. The chips were still warm from the fryer as was the shell for my chicken taco salad. The chicken was moist and well seasoned. I was told that's how it's supposed to be but eating potato slices just didn't taste great. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Will try again this place!
