Beautiful relaxing winery! Love the atmosphere and the animals.
My first visit to this winery a few years ago wasn't great. To be fair, it was a crowded weekend outdoor event on a miserably hot day. I had been totally underwhelmed by warm white wine in a plastic cup and didn't visit again until recently...but am glad I gave it another shot!
This recent visit was with a women's wine group on a Friday as soon as they opened. I had never been inside the tasting room which is beautiful with a warm wood decor and western ambiance. Our servers were friendly and my Cab Franc was good. We all tried their famous Ponderosa Port shots in chocolate cowboy boots which was such a fun and yummy combo!
Breezy pleasant temps after a heat wave meant we were able to sit outside. Although not pet-friendly, it is a kid-friendly winery, with a playground area and some farm animals. They have Saturday night bonfires, music and food trucks. There was a taco truck the day we were there and those who ordered said it was great.
While I probably wouldn't visit on a regular basis, this was a unique winery that I'd especially recommend to anyone with kids.
Attentative staff.try a smoothy
Nice winery, David the server was professional, friendly and knew his wines very well. It was quiet, interesting surrounds in the Cowboy theme. If cheeses had been available it would have been exceptional.
I have a great love for horses and i came to visit Long Shadow ranch winery to see the horses and I was so heartbroken to see the condition of these animals. They have no food or water and you can tell by their hair and feet that they are neglected animals. These animals have broken hooves, scabs on their legs, matted hair, and poop everywhere. Anyone who comes to visit Long Shadow ranch winery please look at the condition of these horses they deserve so much better.
Had a great time talking to the wine pourers at the bar, wines were delicious and the property was lovely. During the day there is an indoor tasting room to get out of the heat, we would definitely come back.
Went to have some wine and listen to Santeria a Sublime Tribute band. Great easy going atmosphere on a nice cool summer evening.
We came here today after reading reviews saying it was a family friendly winery. It's definitely a good place to bring kids - there's a playground and everything is pretty open so you can see little ones easily. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the animals are... Sad. The animals were one of the reasons we were excited to visit since a lot of reviews said that kids like seeing them, but their living conditions were pretty bad. The goat pen is next to the bathroom and their stall was so dirty. The alpaca and sheep have a similarly small pen that was just as dirty and their water pail was full of filth. The horses's hooves appeared to be flared and they looked uncomfortable. I like the concept of having animals there, but just couldn't get over the fact of how poorly they were maintained.

Favorite winery since moving out to Temecula. Great for the family. Fantastic staff. Great events.

Excellent service from Chris of pouring our wines and explaining the differences of wine we tasted. Thank you, Chris tell my old friend John High .
We paid $60 just to reserve a table. We went to one bar area but they did not have the white wine chilled, so we had to go to the other bar to get. We spent $125 for two bottles of wine. When we were ready to eat, we waited in a long line, ordered & took our order number back to table. Approximately 45 minutes to an hour later our food arrived.
The person who delivered our food apologized because they were behind.
It was obvious that this winery was not prepared for the amount of people. Went to women’s restrooms as we were leaving & there was no toilet paper in any of the stalls. I handed those in stalls paper towels. Will never go back!
Beautiful place for the whole family. They have horses, goats and an alpaca on the property. They also have a children's playground, live music, a nice selection of wine and food. Very nice and relaxing day there.
Rude staff! Not a good venue for parties.
The kid-friendly outdoor space, animals, and the ample amount of shaded seating is a big plus for this place. Sadly, I was not as thrilled with the wine or service. The place was packed, and I felt like I was ordering at a crowded bar. The loud music inside also wasn't appealing. Ordered the tempernillo (which stated in the description it was dry). The wine was far from a dry red. My glass of wine also came with a lovely dead fruit fly that surely had been dead for sometime in that bottle. Ended up hanging out all afternoon with my party at Longshadow drinking water.
