Mama Rosa Trattoria & Winery is a gem in Temecula. While it can get busy, especially on weekends, the delicious food, impressive wine selection, and lovely ambiance make it well worth the visit. Just be sure to make a reservation, especially during peak season!
I had dinner here on a Monday around 5pm. I sat on the large patio, which is counter service. You order at the counter, then sit wherever you want and they bring your food to you. I had the spaghetti bolognese. It was undercooked. The carrots were crunchy as were the onions. It was also very sweet, as if sugar was added. I had a Sangiovese which was delicious. Actually felt like being in Tuscany with the vineyard all green on a sunny day. The property is super nice!
We had a margarita pizza, bruschetta and Caesar salad with some wine and it was all really good. It’s nice to actually eat somewhere not in town that’s not a chain. We will 100% be back.
