I was verbally assaulted by another table for having three sips of wine. No staff came up to stop the assault or to apologize after the fact. I am pregnant and the wine tasting was included in a bachelorette party I was attending. I took one sip of each wine we tasted and gave the rest to the bride or another member of the party to enjoy. They are judgmental, rude and disrespectful we were not allowed to go to our reservation due to their ignorance.
I recently visited Maurice Car’rie Winery on October 19, 2024, with a group of friends, and our experience was extremely troubling. From the moment we entered, the staff treated us with blatant disrespect, particularly towards the women of color in our group. We were met with dirty looks and condescending attitudes that made it clear we were not welcome.
