The Vineyard Rose Restaurant

While the service was very attentive and accommodating, and the ambience was serene and comfortable, the food was at best mediocre, and the wine very subpar. We were very disappointed for a restaurant that dubs itself as high-end in an up-and-coming wine area that attracts foodies. Prices were very high and the food was very disappointing. 

Thanks to Nathan (very knowledge and friendly) for a great experience! It was our first stop on our girls day! Beautiful restaurant/venue! Great service, food was thoughtful and unique variation traditional dishes!

The restaurant is comfortable, quiet, and is good for both business and recreation. The dishes I have had were all great and the service is excellent. The prices are on the high side like all winery restaurants. The wine selection is very good with wines from South Coast and Carter Estates.

First of all. The server seemed annoyed we were there and was not friendly. I understand our reservation was 8:15 and they close at 9, but it was for a birthday with only 3 people and that was the only time we could make work. When she brought the brownie she included candles, which was nice, but made a point to say she was not singing happy birthday - no one asked her to. When we were done she was too busy chatting with the bartender to bring us a to go box and the bill. We had to ask the busser so we could leave. The filet and ribeye were delicious but the caesar salad, creme brulee and brownie were just okay. Definitely not worth the $222 bill we paid, and we only drank water. The decor is the same as it has been for as long as I can remember, a bit outdated and reminds me of a retirement home dining room. With all the options for dining experiences, I would rather go somewhere else.

Wonderful service, and food was delicious! We ordered the salmon dish and seafood pasta. Great options. Definitely recommend!

Was really looking forward to the Lamb. But, Kyle was extremely helpful in making a decision on the substitute. Thank you Kyle.

We were very disappointed with service. When we arrived for our reservation at 5:30 pm, we informed the server that we had a 7:00 pm commitment. We were assured that we could order and be served prior to that time. Our first order for soup came right away. However, we then waited more than 45 minutes for the entree and had still not been served. We contacted the manager and said that we would have to leave the restaurant before our next order was served. He apologized and said that Open Table had made too many reservations for 5:30 to 6:00 pm and that they could not serve clients in a timely manner. As a result we decided to not have future meals at the Vineyard Rose during our two day stay in Temecula.

We were here to see a concert at 7:00, so I figured that 1.5 hours would be plenty of time to eat at make it in time for the concert that was on premise. The waiter informed us that we may want to order quickly as the Kitchen sometimes backs up. So we ordered at the first opportunity when the waiter came back, even before he asked for our drink order (which he never did ask for our drink order). Unfortunately our food didn't arrive until an hour and 10 minutes after we sat down. We hurriedly ate and our waiter was nowhere to be found when it was time for the concert to start. Finally after asking another server for the bill our waiter stopped by. Needless to say we were late to the concert that was about 50 yards from the front entrance to the restaurant. This was very unfortunate because the food was excellent. It was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. But due to the poor service I will probably never come back to this restaurant.

Overall disappointing. This was a very special breakfast birthday occasion and it fell short of my expectation. The ambiance was amazing. The outdoor seating was lovely and it was not particularly crowded so was expecting our coffee promptly but it took quite a while to get there. I ordered the avocado toast which was hugely disappointing although the presentation great. Two in our party had the eggs benedict which they said was only okay. The other in our party had the southwestern scramble which was spicy but good. For this type of a place I just expected more. There are other options, I would not come back.
